Not bad for the price if you absolutely need a brand new bike. Just remember its nowhere near the quality of the ninja 250, puts out less than 1/2 the horsepower and overall has a much cheaper feel to it.
I would think the parts will be similar to slightly better than the china scoots. I'm leery of chinese motorcycles since they are more complicated and at higher speeds it's more painful when a critical component fails.
Might want to buy a used 2000-2007 Ninjette since they are solid bikes that seldom break down and you can find those years with low miles for under $2000. The 2008+ have more modern styling and cost about 1000 more on the used market.

I would go with superiorpowersports, They have parts in case you need them, as well as warranty on their bikes. Most large dealers have parts, because they usually get a few bad bikes in their batch, which are excellent parts, especially if they PDI the bike, means they have at least one mechanic working for them. SP has many mechanics working for them, and good and friendly customer service, but they suck with manuals (installation/maintenance/user manuals)! They might have 5 models you may want to take a look at here: www.superiorpowersports.com/category_s/136.htm

The Rebel is a parallel twin. The one you are looking at is a V-twin. It is more like a Yamaha 250.

I've seen them cheaper than that.. For $2000, you could easily find a 2007 low mileage Ninja 250 which has exactly twice the power (25hp compared to 12) and a 20 year history of excellent reliability and easily sourced inexpensive parts. In fact, you can spend considerably less than $2000 on an even older ninja.
Personally I would never buy one of these bikes.

You can pick-up a Honda CB250 (Nighthawk), Suzuki TU-250X etc. No reason to jump on the POS Chinese bandwagon! Good luck on parts or service!
