I am looking around at Amazon since they are trusted and have so many items for a radio/mp3 player for my 2T scooter . I know most require a fused lead to the battery and I am unsure how many watts my 8 pole stator and battery can support and still charge the battery and power the lights . Have too relook at how many amps the battery is . So far I have yet to have a single issue with the electrical other than a tail bulb that burned out . I am able to wire it up but I am interested in those that have their own rechargeable and removable battery so it can all be in the glove box . It has a Handsome Boy body like the Peace VIPs and others . The glovebox door is big enough to hold speakers after boring with a hole saw . I prefer a clean factory look than wires exposed and the handle bars are covered up and not exposed . I do not want the speakers in the mirrors . I found this and its only 40 dollars and is rechargeable via USB , 8 hour battery life and4 gigs of storage plus a FM radio . Many are just mp3 and I want radio . I do not know the wattage but I am sure its not much . Here it is www.amazon.com/Firehouse-Technology-2-0-Motorcycle-Scooter/dp/B005ITRJJI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343366392&sr=8-1&keywords=Firehouse+Technology+iTube I do not like the speaker design and want to use 4 inch or less normal style speakers like these Polk Audios www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-4-Inch-Coaxial-Speakers/dp/B000P0R6GQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1343367140&sr=1-1&keywords=Polk+Audio+DB401+4-Inch+Pair+Coaxial+Speakers Yes I am pretty sure its not strong enough to drive them as one tapped into the battery . I know it will not be the quality of higher priced systems , but since its cheap and simple to install , I might give it a try since I can always get something better later .
Would like to hear from anyone that tried the Firehouse or other radio with its own power source . I think Pyle has a system like that as well . I heard Shark is one of the better brands to get .
Is there a formula on how many watts are produced by number of poles in that stator ? Most are 100 or 200 watts and laughed when I saw a 700 watt system . Not interested in blasting everyone I ride by but would need to be able to hear it with a FF helmet on at top speed
