How do I adjust the chain on the 2012 Cyclone 150cc?

When you are finished adjusting the chain, with the top of the chain tight, the bottom of the chain should have between 20mm to 30mm ( 3/4 to 1 inch ) up and down slack in it. We normally go 3/4 of an inch. Also make sure that the rear is square with the front. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

How do you check for being square. Is there a easy way?

I measure from the bolt on the swing arm(where it mounts to the frame) to the hub. Do this on both sides and make sure the measurement is the same. Then you know you're square.

Wile, Finally cooled down enough to get pictures for you. Looks simple enough. Only problem, is eyebolt adjusters are on the inner brackets only. I took a pic using a mirror on the ground, and I can see where eyebolts should be on the outer brackets. Maybe they ran out, or aren't using 4 anymore. Dave Attachments:

The real reason I used a mirror, is that I'm 72, and sometimes it's pretty hard to get back up once I get down. When my wife is at work, I don't have anyone to pull me up. LOL
Thanks to all you folks for your help.

My friend has a 2012 Cyclone also and he has two adjusting bolts like you. So don't worry they didn't run out of bolts.

Could someone help walk me through tightening the chain? I just put a new one on and it still seems loose, although it is within 20-30 mm.... I took it for a test drive and when I give it some throttle I'm getting a grungy noise, almost feels like its skipping the chain ... But it is a similar noise to what it sounded like right before my other chain broke off. I see the 4 eye bolts (2010 model)... Is it the inner two that adjust the chain tension? Which direction? Mine might be slightly stripped :-(
