I have a MP250A (Linhai 257cc version). I've been driving it to work the last couple weeks and noticed that the fan has been kicking on @ about 30% above cold, where it usually kicks on @ 50% and stays around that mark. Scoot has been running great otherwise. Any suggestions?

After checking your coolant level, and finding it OK. I would suspect the electrical sending unit on the engine is not making a good connection with the wire. I am NOT talking about the thermostat on the radiator. I is located below the carb with a single wire attached.
Heat can cause the sender wire to make erratic contact. That is how I solve a similar problem on my MP250A.
