Hi all, I need suggestions...
Went for a short ride this afternoon an noticed my temp gauge rising. At the next stop, I listened for the fan but it wasn't on. I finally pulled over and inspected the fan fuse to make sure it wasn't blown but couldn't find anything obviously wrong.
My last ride was about 5 days ago and everything was working properly then.
Anyone heard of any issues with the fan motors in the Aeolus 300's? Suggestions as to what might be the issue?

Have you changed coolant recently? Did it overheat? What was the temperature outside?
If you're running at 40 mph+, and the temp is cooler; the fan might not come on.
If you have changed coolant recently (or if there is a coolant leak somewhere), the cooling system may develop air pockets and the fan may not come on even if the engine overheats.
Cooling system must be "burped" when changing coolant. If a leak, you'll also have to "burp" it after fixing the leak and replenishing coolant.

...guess a few more details would be helpful...
I have not recently change coolant and I haven't seen any evidence of a leak. I'll check the coolant level tomorrow, but there were no visible signs of coolant on the garage floor.
I was running 40+ for much of the ride and the outside temp was in the mid 90's. I was able to avoid overheating; however, the temp gauge was reading near high when I stopped to let it cool off/check the fuse.
As a general rule, my fan will come on at about the half-way mark on the temp gauge and run for several minutes. Except in the case of a burnt fuse, I've never had issues with the fan or cooling system.

if you havent already fix your issue, with the scooter cold, open the radiator filler cap, and see if the coolant is up to the fill mark, if not, pour some coolant in it, start the scooter and add some more while the scooter is running, and make sure your coolant reservoir is full. good luck.

Ok, I just finished checking the coolant level and it's completely full. I ran the scooter again (just on the center stand) and the fan still doesn't come on. Of course, I killed the engine before it ran completely hot. I even replaced the fan fuse, just in case, still nothing. The wiring into the fuse harness seems secure. Does anyone know if there's a 'quick connect' to the blower itself that I need to be checking?

OK here is a quick test and it might save your engine.
Locate your thermostat switch on the lower portion of your radiator. It will have two connectors and two wires. Short these two wires together (use a auto fuse 15A should do it). Start the scooter, the fan should come on immediately. If not you have a bad thermostat ($15), an electrical issue, or a bad fuse somewhere else. If you run it hot to long you will blow the engine gasket.
I wired my scoot with an override switch since I scoot in 90+ temps all the time lately. I can turn the fan on any time by flicking the switch, I wried it in parallel with the thermostat so both function.

Ok, problem solved ;D
Gigi with Sunright diagnosed the problem right away...a thermostat switch assembly. Replaced, refilled and burped the cooling system BINGO!! The fan is working like a charm.

what if you do this and the fan comes on then whats the problem.i changed my t-stat out today and put in a new radiator switch assembly n the fan still dont come on fuse is good to do i need to re burp it again and is this the main reqason it's not coming on getting agrivated for sure
