I searched the forum, but can't find anything describing this. This sound was coming from the CVT, so I changed the belt, scuffed the clutch pads(which were glazed) with sandpaper as well as the bell. I blew out the CVT with an air hose, and looked at the rollers. They look fine, but I did notice the belt isn't being pushed all the way out. It's stopping a good 1/4" from the end of the variator ramp. It sounds mostly like it's coming from the clutch, but it looked fine aside from the glazed pads(guess some oil or moisture got in there). It's coming from the CVT. It's a weird, squishy sound.

How many miles on it ? Worn rollers can make a rattle sound like a bad bearing

You should be worried about the loud noises it is making not so much the squishy sound which is probably the belt slipping a little. Wile What loud noises? I need a muffler, but that's gonna have to wait a few weeks.

Oh that! LOL! That is the screen in the muffler bouncing around. Ignore that. I gotta get a new muffler. The sound in the CVT is what I can't figure out. I did check the rollers and guides while I was in there.

By the way... Has anybody weighed the stock rollers? Will heavier sliders push the belt out farther? I've got about 1/4"- 3/8" of variator not getting used.
