Assembled an prepped my new IB Viking Trike.
Able to start and ride around. However, my Odometer and Speedometer stopped registering anything on the digital dash (the RPMs still work so I know the dash is working). Thinking it is because I had to do work on the front wheel (the dealer didn't tell me I had to mount the front wheel).
Question is this: Is the sensor for the Speedometer on the front wheel? If so where?
If not, where is the Odometer/Speedometer sensor on the IB Viking?

No, check the plug on the back of the dash cluster. Mine did that too, but one of the wires wasn't connecting very well. Unplug the plug from the dash. Push all the wire terminals in good(from the back of the plug), silicone the back of the plug so the wires won't move and plug it back in. Fixed mine months ago.

Yes the speedo sensor is on the front wheel left had side. It is electrical. Wires run up the left side fork to a plug.

Ah Jim Man! The sensor is on backwards! When I went to put the wheel back on I thought it might scrape the brake disc and I coudn't remember how it came.
All I have to do it take the axle bolt out and turn it around. Not going to do it now though because I am SORE! I don't do this everyday like you do.
My dealer sent NO instructions for setup and didn't tell me I would have to do the front wheel. Also, their online instructions cover everything BUT the front wheel.
BTW, is it supposed to lightly scrape the disc? Or just really close?
Seems like it would have to make contact or be very close to send an electric signal back to the dash display.

Parker, it's a magnetic pickup. When a magnet passes a copper coil with an iron core it creates electrical energy i.e. a generator.

BTW. By any chance does the IB Viking use 2 spacers (shims?). One on each side? If so, that might explain why I am having scraping issues and this extra spacer right here. The spacers came in separate bag with absolutely no explanation.
In case nobody noticed here, I am winging it because I didn't get a heads up about the front wheel!
Thanks to all.

Ok, did it early this morning. For the record. YES the IB Viking uses TWO spacers on the front wheel. The longer one seems to work well on the right side and the shorter one on the left side (brake side). And the speedometer works now and NO scraping.
Thank you to everyone! Especially to RapidJim because he told me EXACTLY where the problem was although it just as easily could have been a loose connection so thanks to IBtrikin and Ustacould.
