Just bought an Ice Bear 250cc Road Warrior Trike for my father. We got it from a dealer in CA, we live in MN. I didn't know of Rapid Repair or we would have probably ordered from him.
However, since checking all things were tight and after he's ridden it a few times, I have some questions. Initially the fuel pump leaked, but the dealer sent us a replacement and now it works fine. The only issue I've been able to solve so far.
1. I'm having problems getting the front wheel aligned vertical. It pulls to the right and over 40mph the handlebars start to wobble. Any guidance, the springer front end with 4 fork tubes doesn't seem all that adjustable in the vertical wheel sense.
2. Turning the handlebars all the way to the left makes the engine rev higher. Turning the handlebars to center or to the right has the engine idle normally. I've checked and there is plenty of slack in the cables. Should I tie them down so there is less movement?
3. Engine issues. She idles very poorly, bogs down, revs up high, then idles normal and repeats. It usually dies at stop signs and my dad has to restart it. Subsequent test rides I've noticed it bog down despite a wide open throttle, and then misfire, and then accelerate normally. My dad says he noticed one of the spark plugs is arcing to the engine. I will take care of that, but I don't think it's the cause of most of the problems. I am thinking the carb and jets may be an issue?
4. I loctited the front axle. But from what I gather, I should go back and loctite EVERYTHING else?
I have a Suzuki SV650 which I do my own work on, however I have never had these types of problems. A little guidance would be great as the owner's manual doesn't say too much.
I just had my tonsils out so for the last 2 weeks he has been pretty bummed out about the problems.
