I remember in the 70's we used to change out the fork oil immediately on Yamaha dirt bikes because they were filled with fish oil. There is no telling what is in the Chinese scooter forks. Anybody know the type and amount for a 2008 Linhai 300. Oh yeah....you could also buy progressive front shock springs that were nice. Thankyvarymauch Slowlane

I tried 5W and 10W, the 5W was a little to light. 10W is what I liked. For brand just go to a cycle shop or order from partsforscooters on line. I used PJ1.
The first time I changed with the 5W oil I removed the forks, and drained them. When I put the 10W oil in I got a little smarter. I used a syringe and hose to sucked almost all of it out.
Refill was 85cc per tube.
Lot of luck.

The forks have oil in them?
I never really considered that but I guess it makes sense.
How do I change it on my Jonway YY250T?

They have allen wrench plugs on the bottom and caps on the top. It would be nice to remove them, completely disassamble, clean them thoroughly then reassemble. That would be a light case of OCD. Slowlane
