Anybody know what kind of hose and what size to use for the crankcase valve cover vent
could I use some fuel or vacuum line?

All that comes out of it is condensation and occasionally oil. I used fuel line, but you should be able to use anything you want. I would just make sure whatever you do use isn't *to* sensitive to heat.

If you want to you can get about 4 feet of fuel line and run it from the valve cover up the frame tube and out the rear of the scooter so it doesn't foul up the intake and carb. You don't need to recycle oily water vapor into the combustion process. The other thing that's good is that having it run uphill like that keeps it from blowing oil as much. I did it to my old JMStar 50cc a few years ago. I ran it down the inside of the rear splash guard and fastened it at the bottom by drilling two small holes on the splash guard and running a black zip tie through them around the tube. I'm pretty sure I used 1/4 I.D. fuel line.

im liking the sound of that idea fox would it be good to do for a 150cc? and can anyone else verify this is a good idea. there is no emissions testing where i live.

If you have the stock airbox there is really no reason to redirect the line. If you took the box off, it doesn't matter where you point the line, just don't point it somewhere you don't want oil to shoot.

Yes you can do it to a 150cc as well. You really don't need to put a filter on it cause the only thing to come out is water condensation once the tube is running uphill like that. If you have the stock airbox there is really no reason to redirect the line. If you took the box off, it doesn't matter where you point the line, just don't point it somewhere you don't want oil to shoot. The reason you do this is so you don't recycle oily water vapor into your carburetor air filter and intake! That stuff hinders combustion and gunks up the works. On many scoots that stuff is routed through the air filter. WHY? So you have to clean/replace the friggin' filter more often that's why. The hot fumes coming out of the tube actually melted one filter I had. Here's another filter after rerouting the vent tube and 2 months riding around town; One other option is routing it into a catch can of some type. This guy here used a Mountain Dew can. The oily water gets caught and the pressure has a place to escape. Simple, cheap and it works. Win! Win!
