So i bought a vog 250 scooter and it would stall when you slowed down, so i figured no big deal carb clean. All i did was clean out the jets. Still did it, so i keep reading and saw maybe a vacum leak. So i changed the hoses, and fuel filter. Still stalled. Next i read valve adjustment. So i did the intake one to .004. Still stalled. I couldnt reach the exhaust valve so i just left it. But it seems to only stall when you slow down pretty fast. It doesnt stall when you slow down slowly.

The exhaust valve needs to be adjusted to .005 or .006, which is what I used.....you have set the intake...enjoy the ride...

Check the intake manifold between carb and engine. They get cracks or have trouble with the clamps.

I tried everything for my Vog stalling, which eventually became a starting issue, and after going through all the steps you've mentioned (and more), it was all traced back to the brown and yellow wire that goes into the CDI simply being loose. Specifically, I saw that all the wires going into the plug clipping into the CDI have little rubber "gaskets" aroung them. The brown and yellow wire had its gasket hanging out and some of the metal connector spade visible where the other wires were neat and hidden. I pulled that wire out, re-fit the gasket and plugged the wire back in, and haven't stalled in over a year.
Also, other Vog owners have mentioned a torn diaphram in the carb as causing problems, as well as a cracked manifold elbow (the plastic pipe that holds on the carb). All worth a check.

I changed the carb with a brand new one. Same thing. Ill look at the cdi, cause it looks like the previous owner played with it. If not ill check the manafold. And do the exhaust valve adjustment.
Another question is my varator weights are raddling, i took it out they were not sitted right. I noticed a crap ton of grease!!! Ive never seen grease in the varator before.

bhinch gets a bone!! Glad to hear you're back up and running. .004 and .006 are what is generally recommended on the site.

I do notice the idle jumping every so offten and the idle drops to 1,200ish ive upped the idle but then its to high. I think i may still have a vacum leak in the manifold.

I get generic parts from ebay or one of the on-line vendors. If there is any question about what is "generic," i buy from www.bmsmotorparts.com/index.phpThe BMS branded Vog is the BMS TBX 260. They sell every single part for the bike and every part fits. If you have any questions give them a call - they have always answered the phone when i've called and have been very helpful.

Yes. I think. Im not sure if it has a leak though. But the clamp is rusty and doesnt like fully tighten down. So i might as well get one.
I think i wanna put HIDS in, but it looks hard and not sure which to order.
