Alright guys, 2012 Yamaha Majesty or 2013 Piaggio BV350? The Majesty is about $1200 more but it has a very comfortable seat and excellent dealer support. Which one???

I would go with the Majesty. It looks like a beast!!! It has a history of reliability and dealer support. If you plan on doing long distance travel, the Majesty maybe best. Both will maintain highway speeds but over the long run, if the seat is more comfortable that will make a huge difference. If you plan on doing a lot of city riding, the Majesty is OK but the BV350 will handle better. It really all depends on what you plan and will do with the scooter.
It seems that you are looking for something new with a warranty? If you go with a used Majesty, you can find much cheaper and still have good reliability and support. The Majesty forum has loads of information and will help you with any problems that may occur. Sometimes they can help you prevent those problems before it happens. If you are just decent with a wrench that will be enough (with overall inspection and tune up from a good/dealer scooter mechanic. Check out the Majesty forum to see how real owners maintain those scooter.

I hear parts are hard to get for the majesty. Also difficult to work on. Just what I heard but may be worth checking into.

Neither. A Tao Tao 150cc scoot will cost under a grand and easy to replace/repair when time comes to fix. All of them break its a matter of can you fix it? Tao Tao has 4 size bolts to worry about. Personally for 1k, I would go Tao Tao VIP. For 2500 buy a used Harley with 20k miles.

I would say the BV just because it is a little more exotic and it is not my money we are talking about.

Congrats, josh!
If it rides anything like my baby brother to it, you'll be comfortable.
Last Sat I rode 25 minutes 'round and 'round the parking lot practising right turns (I turned too wide my first two, so decided I'd better practise before hitting traffic again!). No discomfort at all, no sore tush, nothing. And that after not riding since my MSF class in April.
Let us know how it rides and how you like it. I'm interested in your opinion of it. And good luck with the wait--it's gonna' be a llooonnnngggggg time 'til July!

I have 10,000 trouble free miles on my Piaggio engined bike. So far parts (only maintenance items) have been readilly available.
Have gone on full day group rides with no problems on the Sport City 250 and the BV350 is supposed to be a much nicer ride.
