Ok so it has taken me a while to get back to this issue. I took my meter and checked the plug attaching to the light and no power. went to the removed the switch and no power looks as if the red/white is the main feed and the two others are high and low beam. i have been checking with the engine running and no power at any of the spots. does anyone have a wire diagram for the trike.

wishing i never got this trike. Guess the fix is going to be a hotwire from the battery to the switch unless someone else has any ideas.

The headlight has never came on. I have tested for power and no luck with the key in on or with the engine running. I had the skin off of 90 % of it on the 4th. I have checked each plug and no voltage. I lost the power wire for the headlight when it went in the wire loom.

Slim, No high beam, no low beam, just might want to check your ground line.

Check the pins in the connectors. Sometimes they get pushed out the back of the connector when plugging them in. Wouldn't hurt to silicone them in place before plugging them in(at the back of the connector). It has to be a broken connection. I would think voltage regulator if your gauges weren't working properly, but since you didn't mention that, I'm assuming they are. Keep checking wires, plugs and you'll find it.
