But people like to ask questions, the search engine sucks and by your own admission it was lost. Looks like just another one of those I've been here awhile and don't want to answer questions things again plus how old is that thread? Some things change sometimes ya know. Persoanlly I like the lots of questions.

It's a great thread -- full of lots of info, and I'm not about to re-type it all just for something to do. As far as I know, the current Linhai 300's and 260's haven't changed from the 2009 models. If they have, someone will need to re-do all those Linhai reference threads -- a LOT of work! And yes-- people do like to ask questions. But most of them are doing it to find answers! If they're doing it just to be heard -- try Facebook!

As far as I know, the current Linhai 300's and 260's haven't changed from the 2009 models. But are you sure? Do or have you ever owned one? How do you know it's great material? If they have, someone will need to re-do all those Linhai reference threads -- a LOT of work! A lot easier to just ask questions from people here that own one and since you only like to give links and not be hasssled with ansering questions especially from noobs then it would be safe to say you need to go to Facebook and find someone who likes to just get links and not talk or ask questions? But most of them are doing it to find answers! So true so let people who like to give answers help them and that'll give you more time to be heard on Facebook! ;D ;D

Ya know -- if you're just here to try to start arguments, there are better forums for that. I just posted the link to draw Linhai owners attention to it as it looked as though it was being overlooked. I don't know why you find that offensive, but I'm sorry if I offended you.
I was just trying to be helpful. If you prefer that I cease trying to help anyone here, let me know -- I'll leave the forum. If I wanted arguments, I can find enough of that elsewhere.
If you had bothered to look at any history of mine at all, you'd have seen that I've answered a good many questions here. So -- I'm not interested in hurting your feelings or being involved in arguments -- if you think I shouldn't be here, that's good enough for me -- I'll leave.

Not offended, just wonder why you think that answering peoples questions even if they've been asked time and time again is so offensive? Giving someone a link even with information on it is not always the answer and that seems to be the way you always do it, find and dandy but your being offended by repeat questions is noted throughout the forum by you so basically it seems now you don't like a dose of your own medicine. Your history? Helping people? That's easy, so many threads that you're only post was a old link to a thread where others helped the person who had trouble. BTW why the change of the heading on this link? scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=4483You see sometimes it's nice to get answer when you're a noob. scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=12993Oh well time to go to Facebook, people there do talk, would be a very boring place with just links!

You're kidding me right? You really can't differentiate between the moniker "torque" and "tortoise"? THAT'S NOT EVEN MY POST!!! For crying out loud! You mean all this time I've been ostracized for posting links to useful information by someone who has trouble READING? Give me a break. Am I to suppose you also demand this kind of personal attention when using Google? All they give you is links! Do you advocate the removing of all these links so everyone can get a PERSONAL answer to their questions instead of a link to some information that may be much more pertinent and useful to them? Now I will admit to being a little sensitive -- after a year in which the business I founded 33 years ago had to close due to the economy, the wife having to fight breast cancer, having to sell the family homestead to try to avoid bankruptcy, fighting with creditors for over a year now -- yes -- I can be a little "touchy" at this point. So what's your excuse? Why are you raising such a ruckus because I attempted to remind people of some very useful information and where to find it? I just don't get it.

p.s. -- a review of my last 100 posts scootdawg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=userrecentposts&user=torquereveals 13 links, and the majority of those were direct answers to questions posed. I find your accusation that I "always seem" to answer with a link both bogus and irrationally argumentative. You seem to have confused my links with someone else's, judging from your problem in differentiating "torque" from "tortoise". If you're having trouble with your eyesight, I'd be glad to send you a link to my eye surgeon. (Not don't be offended -- that's a joke --- )

Torque - I want to just jump in and let you know that not everyone feels the same way as EPA Hater. I would think that if they did, more would have jumped on this thread. I think what you did was helpful. I for one appreciated it especially since I am a Linhai owner.

Thanks "Scooteritch". I probably over-reacted to his post. Given the stress of this last year, I've been attempting to eliminate certain facebook "encounters" that seem to be fruitless. I just didn't expect anyone to object to a post like this.
I remember a series of "debates" breaking out a couple of years ago on this forum. We lost a handful of very good, helpful, and experienced "dawgs" over it. It was a shame. They contributed a lot to this forum. When one left, he deactivated his account. We lost a good friend and a valuable resource.
I guess I just don't understand why anyone would object to having a question answered with a link that satisfies the need and provides a wealth of information relative to the scoot the inquirer owns.
Anyway, thanks.

Actually a lot of this information is useful for anyone with a scoot. Thanks! Btw, out of curiosity I went to the Linhai website but neither the 260 or 300 scoots were listed, have they been discontinued?

quick comment relating to the search function of the forum. I read somewhere not long after joining the forum that since the search forum of the function sucks- scroll to the bottom of the page right below the quick reply box... and in kind of subdued text you see "google custom search' on the left.
It can't read your mind, but when typing in a search term, if will often bring back pages of posts related to the query. On occasion some of the results will only be because the search term is mentioned in someone's sig file portion of their post, but using this search from google has helped me find many things I needed , even if I had to look through a few pages. Usually I found what I was looking for.

man, it's so much easier to ask. Some people won't mind replying, and those that do mind, should not. I love to help people where I can, knowing that if I have a question someone else would help me without bitching about it.

You also have to take into consideration that some folks maybe too frustrated or lack the specific knowledge to know where to turn. (besides, doesn't if feel great helping someone out of a jam?.)
