my honest opinion? i would look for some master cylinders that have mirror mounts.
more honesty: if you don't know what parts you need to rebuild master cylinders then you have no business rebuilding them.

Ok I will write this so anyone can understand the post. I am looking for new master cylinders or rebuild kits for my 08 Roketa MC-54B 250. I would rather rebuild them as the cylinder bore and spool valves are not damaged. I would prefer quality parts over the Roketa parts. Does anyone have any leads or EXPERIENCE in replacing the M/Cs with some other name brand. I would like to avoid wasting money guessing. I am sure I there mast have been a post about this but the search engine found nothing and 2 hours of looking gave me nothing.

Hi Quail, Understood your first post perfectly. Not sure what Leo's post was all about.. can't find the right part so you must not know what you're doing? Not sure what logic he's using there. The Chinese do not make rebuild kits for these Master Cylinders.. so you're not going to find the right seals unless you find someone on eBay parting one out. I don't think the Honda Reflex or Helix versions are compatible either, though I can't confirm that.. I've never matched them up. Anyway, I just went through this same thing. I found a man who offers high-quality seals (mine were leaking.) Ultimately, I just purchased an entirely new unit ($59) but plan to send my old seals in to see if he has a match. Here's his ad: www.ebay.com/itm/280823968608?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D280823968608%26_rdc%3D1#ht_500wt_1180The Chinese ATV guys seem to deal with this often. If you contact the seller he'll help you out. He asked that I send mine in but I never got around to it. He'll give you his personal mailing address if you contact him. That's what I would suggest doing. If you're not in a huge hurry, I plan to send him mine later this week and can let you know what he says.

yeah follow yoster on this, he just went thru this. its not that you can not find rebuild kits for chinese master cylinders, its most of the time you can not find the correct seal style.
Honda does not fit.

Rebuild master cylinder kit from Honda came in yeterdays mail. Missed seeing it prior to posting. Did not fit though very close.
Many many people have tried, you can do a forum search for it, in the end, they all just buy new assemblies. sorry.

Thank you for the link Yoster! Could you please post the outcome of your sending the M/C off to this thread. For some reason I can not ever find anything through the search engine on this forum.
And thank you Chromestarhustler for buckeyescoot's post because I wanted to try some honda seals but having rebuilt 100s of M/C for bikes and cars, I know that what looks and feels like it should work often fails at launch, or when when most needed. I did not feel like wasting the money guessing which kit to by from Honda. Terry

If you want to just buy a whole new unit, here's the one I got: www.ebay.com/itm/170730268165?ssPageName=STRKI just took the master cylinder off that kit, slapped it where my old one used to be, bled it, and bingo. Comes with new pads too! You can probably get your money back out of it if you sell the caliper and hydraulic hose back on eBay.

Hi Quail, Understood your first post perfectly. Not sure what Leo's post was all about.. can't find the right part so you must not know what you're doing? Not sure what logic he's using there. it's a safety concern. he asked what parts he needs which implied he has never done this before. don't know about you but i will never let anyone rebuild my cylinders that has never done it before. hence my post. personally i would ditch the cylinders and get quality new ones. but that's me make sure they are the kind that doesn't have the view window.

Leo The Mc54-250b comes with mirror mounts on the Master Cylinder. Honest! Terry OMG!!!!!! i'm in love. ;D eh, well, i've been needing some mounts and i couldn't figure a way of jerry rigging anything. the big question is "will they fit my bars"? the rear cylinder mounts differently than the front on my scoot. the front has the entire mount but the rear has part of the mount welded to the bars.
