I have two questions I am hoping to get some help with..
First, I have noticed while riding, if I take both hands of the bars for more than a few seconds, the bars/front end start to shake something awful. When I used to ride my motorcycle, I would do this often to hake a little blood flow back into my hands and never had this issue.
Is this something like a head bolt loose or a bad bearing, or is it simply because this think has 13" tires up front?
Next question.. I am wanting to change out my handlebars. My current bars are welded onto a plate that is mounted on the top of the head. I know I can spend 150.00 on a kit that will change this out for me... But, A set of risers and new bars might cost me all of 30 bucks. Do I cut the current bars off and tap holes in the plate for risers.. Or is there something under that plate that risers can be bolted too w/o all the cutting, drilling and what not?
Thanks!

hmm, i know my 54b has bolt on bars, I would not go modifying that mounting system, the vog 260 has bars that a bolt on too. (cause i have a spare steering head, and forks, and wheel, and engine and whole scooter, minus frame. oh i have the frame to, just no title. spares get some lol it being a china scooter they used a welded on assembly, and 2 different bolt on styles what you need looks like this and is real clean and simple. or the other style whose parts diagram you can find here. where the plate has been factory drilled and the clamp halfs. www.roketapartsdept.com/catalog/MC_54_250_STEERING_ASSEMBLY_PARTS-608-1.htmlthe plate is cheap 20 bucks its the clamp halfs that get you 64 dollar for a whole set. if they just welded to that plate i would say its probably safe to drill for your own clamps, but you only get to drill once, so what size bars you want 7/8 or one inch. if it were me, mc62 250/260 steering head. www.roketa.com/product/parts_detail.jsp?partId=51423&partName=STEERING%20ASSEMBLY(03)like 40 bucks for the head and clamps.
