Unfortunately, but truthfully, we have bikes in the EPA area getting checked out to be approved for the USA. Why so late?? Because when you hire new people, they have to learn the ropes in putting together the requirements for these agencies. When that is done, the shipments will start coming to USA. I am told all 4 bikes will start coming in. They estimate end of July - August sometime. Not good for the North East being such a short riding season. BUT, atleast we know what is actually going on.

I guess it's best to send a few bikes to the EPA area without them having to confiscate hundreds of bikes. I'm just glad they have all 4 of the models being brought in this year. I do hear that they are taking more time then ever before to do their job. Guess they have newbies at EPA also.

I hope CFMOTO can find their rudder before it's too late.

I just checked the new website. The number of dealers listed is way off from what it used to be. There were 2 close by me that aren't shown anymore. My guess is they are sinking. Don't know about other peoples experience with the customer contact but the few times I tried to talk with the company rep on the phone were not too reassuring. I was told this also by other previous CF Moto dealers. Just not looking all that good anymore. Chris

Each area rep was told to pick their top 25 dealers and dismiss the rest. Why? because if they aren't productive as dealers they need to move on. Alot of dealers did not want to work on the bikes. Didn't want to do warranty work. Didn't want to sell parts. They wanted to sell a bike or two and be done. They want to only keep their top dealers. Ones that actually care about what they sell. I'm sorry that people seem to have had issues with the customer service area (and they wear many hats in MN), but they are there to re direct the consumer to the dealer who should in reality be able to help a consumer in any need they may have. The point leading to why they dumped so many dealers. C.P., Did you have a problem working with me? I didn't think so and I certainly hope not. But I do know you have had issues dealing with CF Moto and some people representing the company. If your dealer did the right thing for you and got that belt under warranty like it should have been, then you would have a different attitude towards CF. Your dealer should have known that CF had a bunch of bad belts that year and should have fought for you. CF would have given in and replaced that belt free of charge. Again, my point about dealers. Bad dealers give a company a bad name.

You are so right! We have dealers that really go out of their way to service the customer and these guys are selling scooters like crazy. We can't even keep enough inventory in stock this year to accomodate them. We have containers sold out already that are arriving in a month. Then we have a couple of dealers that just really should not be in the business. Service is what makes or breaks people in this business. After 9 years of selling China product we have very few competitors left who started out the same time that we did, the ones that remain are ones who have the same service oriented philosophy. Many competitors made a quick buck and got out. We made less but survived. We stock all the parts, it costs lots to carry all the body panels in all the colors but our dealers know that if a customer crashes and needs to fix the scooter all they need to do is call us. Try calling some of the places that sell scooters for $700 on line and see if they have replacement body panels in the correct color to match the scooter they sold. (LOL!) Nuff said. CF Moto has always been pretty good at parts supply and I am sure they will continue to do so. They have a good shot at being big in the US as long as they pick and choose who they sell to and stick to professional businesses.

Hi Kath, No I had no problem working with you and will continue to do so. My belt issue was an out of warranty issue, had to do with lubing the clutch. I ordered a new one and the problem has been solved but at the expense of 3 previous belts and "tow-homes". The dealer I bought my bike from folded, (bankruptcy). The second closest dealer is no longer listed on the web page and they used to bring the CF MOTO line up to Lake Gearge NY for Americade which is a pretty big deal. The dealership no longer advertises selling CF-MOTO and CFMOTO isn't listed as a participant in Americade any more. They went from having a huge presence to nothing in the last few years which leads me to believe there are problems. I did shop around for a good price on a kevlar belt which led me to disscussions with other dealers who "gave-up" on CF moto due to poor support. My own conversations with the "woman" at cf-moto supports that opinion. She didn't have a clue about the scoot, and a tech would only respond to me thru her. Wasn't trying to be nasty just looking for information about the "factory" tools for servicing said clutch. The "factory tools" don't exist at CF moto which is another cause for my concern.
Support is critical in this business and thats what is failing at Cf-moto. All the dealers I have dealt with Including you have been great! That dissappears the second you call the main office, sorry to say. I love my scoot but I won't do it again, I'll spend the extra and go mainstream. Everyone of the companies have their issues but my gut instinct with Cf-moto is they are now in intensive care and the outlook ain't good. Thanks for responding and I hope this all turns out well for you, I've no complaints about you what-so-ever. Chris

After reviewing the limited product offerings, reduced warranties and new contract I don't think we will be the only ones to not renew. Also, we have not seen or had a call from a CFMOTO sales rep in over a year. It's a sad stae for them. I hope they can recover.

Yes, there is limited product this year and alot of people who can only ride 150's (do not like the faster speeds or just to use around town) are out of luck with CF Moto. Also, the warranty was changed to what you see now just before Lev left last Feb (2010). AND, my goodness, that new application!!! I sent it to them (500 pages). BUT, the application is humongous only if you want to do floor planning through them. The rest is the same. I have to admit that if I had to depend on CF Moto to feed my family, it just wouldn't work out. It just seems like they can't catch up. Product is late every year. I know that the warehouse has tripled (under construction now) so I am estatic about that. Just frustrated about product availablity.

I just can't get over the promises made at the dealer's meeting at Indy Expo two years ago by both the then president of CFMOTO US and the president of CFMOTO China.
Well, that and twenty five cents....

And there is no communications from the sales people or upper management. I went to work for IBM in 1973 and spent 36 years in sales and management and what is going on at CFMOTO is beyond anything I have ever experienced in my career. I don't think they have the leadership to pull themselves out of this tailspin. I hope they do, but I doubt it due to their inability to communicate with their dealers and not living up to what they say.
