Thanks...now you guys got me missing living in Williamsburg Va.. Is the Virgina law the same as when I was there in 2003....scooters could NOT be ridden on any road where the speed limit was above 45 mph. Which was irritating as that meant VA Beach blvd and even country back roads in non rural areas...as the speed limit out of the cities on back roads was 55.

Same laws, but i haven't been hassled yet...i ride the country roads daily. K...I only got stopped once while crossing the bridge into Gloucester...just got a warning. Other thing I miss about VA..is the 'open carry' law...as long as your side arm is visible..you can carry it...grocery store...credit union etc...no hassles. Not once in 3 years did I hear about a person robbed late at night while using an ATM.. ;D Now that my friend is how all state laws should read.

The firearm laws are great down here! ive been here a little over a year and have a decent collection of weapons now. ;D NJ was so ridiculously strict. It took me 9months to get my firearm permit there. mind you i have ZERO backround and driving record. Va,it took me 15 minutes.
