Hey fellow Dawgs,
Recently my front brakes (ABS) have began to squeak. Upon inspection, all components of the brake system appear in good shape and are functioning perfectly. After a cleaning, the squeak went away, but less than an hour later, returned.
Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated. The noise is extremely annoying!

Are you sure its the brakes? I have the same scoot, every once in awhile the speed odometer cable makes a sound and I get also a huming sound which I think may be the wheel bearing.

Yup, it's the brakes.

on a roketa? totally normal.
More then likely the pads have warped due to overheating, and could be glazed over. Check the front rotor for warping, and replace the pads. (should be like 10 bucks)

This is a very typical problem with any disc brake pad. This is why any parts store sells small containers of "squeal stop". just apply it to the metal part (the part that does not touch the rotor). Or just apply some silicon caulk to the back of the brake pads. Squeal will be gone instantly. Very simple fix.

The brake grease fills in the tiny clearances and prevent the pads from vibrating which will make noise . Over time in rain it will wash away . Another trick is to put shims behind the pads to keep them in the caliper tight so they can not have room to vibrate
