Report: I received the crate with DF150TKA two weeks ago; I assembled the front end per video Part#1, 2, and 3. I wheeled the Tri-Moto (my name for it) into the driveway and took of! I couldn't believe it ... everything ran like a charm. Only little glitch was that I had to restart engine occasionally at stop signs. See my threat "DF150TKA - stalls at stop signs". Wile's answer in his post fixed the problem -increase idle speed-, and my fun continued. Until yesterday when out of nowhere -at the odometer reading of 324 km- approx. 15 Mi from home, the engine cut off and could not be restarted. I walked/hitchhiked home. I prepared my little boat trailer with come-a-long, tools, timber, ramps, straps and ropes and drove back where I left the moto and hauled the sucker home. REQUEST: Can anybody give me step by step instructions how to remove the body panels to get free access to the engine in order to test spark plug, CDI, charge coil, carburator, clogged lines, etc. etc. Only few of these tests can be done within the very confined space of the engine compartment with body panels in place. Thanks.

Remove engine cover found under the seat and you should be able to gain access to the carb, fuel filter and hoses. Silly question...is the kill switch engaged? I only ask b/c my 2 yr hit the kill switch and it was not until I was returning from pep boys with a new spark plug that it dawned on me,,,thats all there was too it Our situations are quite different but the cause could still be the same. Might I ask why you chose the TKA when the 2nd gen TKB is available?

Hi ...sscheitel! Thanks for your hint regarding the kill switch. A friend mentioned it too, when I finally had the df150tka back in my garage. I am happy to report that the moto runs again after checking systematically spark, fuel, air, etc. Unfortunately I didn't find any specific item ... that's why I am still a bit apprehensive. Re your question to my choice. In fact, I was lucky to get the TKA because I ordered the only unit I had seen advertized, namely the MC_D150TKA. When the scooter arrived here in South Carolina from the SunnySports people in California it turned out to be a DF150TKA. In other words I could have been stuck with a 52" swing arm front suspension (instead of 40", which is obviously much superior). Later I compared the TKA with the TKB and I actually like mine better. The TKB looks for me too much like a Honda Goldwing -big and bulky body panels and trunk-, rather than a more graceful scooter.
