Hey all! I recently bought a taotao "CY50" 150cc and noticed that not only was the speedo only in KM/H but it was also completely inaccurate. After a week or so using a GPS I decided to fix this issue, and make it look a little better to boot! I've attached the PSD to print off your own. This is GPS verified and accurate within 1mph at every mark. It may be different for you as everyone's is different but it's a good starting point. Just print it on heavy card stock, cut out the grey parts, and tape it onto the speedo backing plate. If you use normal paper the light will bleed through and look terrible at night. I plan on using some 5mm blue LEDs and light up the front of the gauge soon.

I don't see the PSD file. I have a Taotao CY15-A that has the same gauge cluster, and I've been wanting to do this since I got it!

Yeah, but he had already created one for the same scooter I have, and GPS-verified the speeds. I'd like to try his.

I know what you mean BRO, enmadaio was logged on just a while ago and did not respond so who knows if he will post the link to the PSD that he made so you can print it out and try it. Good Luck Wile

Thanks. Yeah, I even sent him a PM several days ago, hopefully he'll see it.

I am sure he saw it I think he doesn't have it and probably had it made by someone else and now he is in a pickle because some want it. A lot of folks do that they brag about something and cannot produce because they didn't really do it. Wile

Dammit...wish he'd at least say something. Hell, I'd pay for it.

You'd be gearing on the fact that your speedo is off by the same percentage that his is. Its possible since they are made by the same manufacturer...but I would still be surprised if it worked out right on yours too. Printing the overlay is more of a custom job, if you want it to be very accurate.

Yeah, but it would be a good place to start. He's already got the dimensions for the overlay correct (since we both have the same scooter model), and I could print it and adjust it as necessary.

Does anybody know how to get the clock to work? Mine has never worked and there are no instructions on how to set it. And, the fuel guage stopped working.
