I have owned my Linhai 300 only about six months now. On a whim I decided to pry the battery cover off that says "do not remove" There was no visible water in the battery! I have no doubt it would have failed soon had I not topped it up to the fill marks with distilled water. I was surprised at how much it took for such a small battery. I know these batteries have a reputation for not lasting very long, maybe they just run out of water. I know not keeping them fully charged will shorten their life considerably. I always use a battery maintainer, it has made my cycle batteries last a lot longer then prior use of it.
