I signed up here a short while ago and have been reading and trying to learn about these scooters which are new to me.
I'm 60 and have been around all things mechanical and can't help tinkering with gadgets. I have an old Ford coupe that I 've been fooling with for a few years and now that I'm retired I can do more with it. My neighbors and friends call me Fred Sanford, but the name is Bill.

Hi Bill, I hope you enjoy tinkering with your scooter as much as I do mine. I still find time to turn wrenches on my old Ford. Ford parts are pretty cheap but you can do anything to one of these scooters for less than a tank of gas.

Hi Bill and good to hear from you too as I am rather new myself in this forum but tinkering with my "babe "CAL" I call her is left to my garage... there's too many computers in it that I can't afford to risk fooling with it, its beyond my level at our age to risk it. I did enjoy that series, Sanford & Son which is not repeated by our shores since 1980 unfortunately... What or which scooter have you for yr part?

I haven't a scooter yet, I bought some 150 gy6 engines and am going to build a scooter out of parts. I been watching locally to buy a complete scooter with a broke engine. I am going to use a couple of the engines to build gokarts for my grandkids.

That sounds like an interesting project lined up and nothing like accomplishing a self created prototype perhaps and the grandkids certainly will be happy getting one. How many scooters do you plan to create eventually?

Fantastic and I wish you all the pleasure you certainly would be embarking on and pls keep us updated. If you can, a new thread created as a pilot project to stay abreast with pics or even short clips on yr development would be ideal.... great for documenting it in here and for others to emulate your strive. I certainly am keen to follow up yr progress as would others for sure too. All the best and go "Fix it" Bill!!!

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I am new myself but have already found a wealth of information, I love tinkering with mine and this is the perfect place to learn.
