...I've been chasing my tail in circles for almost a year now trying to find a place in southern maryland who does this safety inspection so i can reregister scooter anybody got any suggestions? I purchased scooter last year from a lady who got it in her divorce settlement. Have switched over title, got it insured but can't for the life of me get this safety inspection done. H E L P P P P P!

What a pain in the azz having to deal with that bs stuff some states require, the annual DMV's roping in of the dumb sheeple to get their vehicles all inspected for a FEE, and then being told they need this and that and the other thing repaired, ALSO for a fee, and then a re-inspection and finally, if you're lucky, you get your little sticker that proves you threw a bunch more of your hard earned dollars into the state coffers so you have the "privilege" of driving your vehicle for a whole year!
It's not about safety- you already HAVE insurance for injury, so too does the other guy, it's about getting more revenue out of people, and making it as difficult and as much of a pain in the azz as possible, with stringent emissions and other requirements all but guaranteed that in a state like California if you have an older vehicle you'll FAIL, have to spend a lot of money, or spend it, still have it fail and then have to buy a new vehicle (which is what the DMV wanted you to do in the first place) title transfer= $$$, Tax= $$$, new registration/plates= $$$, more money to their partners in the auto crime industry- the insurance conglomerates who sock you with high premiums for comprehensive damage insurance.

....oh i already know its a complete racket but considering i work in dc andclast year they made 93 million dollars in traffic and parking revenue i was trying to do the right thing and avoid contributing to their greedy ticketing bottomline lol. ill check out that link now though
