I didn't take pics, but I DID decide to go out for a longer ride, so I rode over to the next small town, sightsee'd it, came back, and continued on out past the cemetary, around it and then back home, 24 mile trip total. Ran real nice and when I got home I just kind of touched the rear axle hub and gear box area to check them, and they were just pleasantly warm even after 24 miles.

Cool, thought you had also a 150, wrong signature I saw I guess. It was 68 out, sunny but still chilly as it was cloudy this AM and the sun only came out just after noon. I had a long sleeve flannel shirt under the day-glo vest but after a bit I had to stop and button the front of the shirt since riding 30-35 it was starting to get cold. I scouted out a little town Ive only ever just drove through on the way to Menards, I rode around it a bit and thought wow, what a dump! There's only 356 residents, a few decent houses but the "business district" looked real bad, 2 abandoned buildings, vacant lots where others once were, place looked like it was falling apart pretty fast and not much to see.

Good idea checking the gearbox for heat! I remember when I first started scooting a 20 mile ride was a major outing. Now that's the standard ride, takes just about an hour. All I bring is a phone, small multi-tool, and water. And sometimes the camera. Honestly I think I'm gonna miss the cool weather. Last weekend was the first time I rode in 60+ weather this year, with my gear on it was a bit warm when I wasn't moving.

Sure is, usually the first indication of a bearing problem or something of that nature is abnormal heat. One concern is flat tires miles away from home since most scooters don't have a spare and front and rear wheels are not interchangeable in any case. Maybe carrying around a tubeless repair kit and a can of flat fix is a good idea. Wont help with a blowout but would if you ran over a nail or something.

I did about a 20 mile ride today too, it was about 90 degrees out, 20% humidity, breezy. But that was after a couple of down things earlier today. I found a large mass on one of my dogs I didn't see before, it had to have grown fast. I called my vet's number, the one vet was 50 miles away and he said to call the other at home. The other vet is about 80 and has a hearing implant but he's real good. Called him, he said meet me at the clinic in 15 mins, I go in the cage and then when I'm done there I load the dog up, turn the key and ZIPPO!! Just a faint clicking, so I had to humbly ask the 80 year old doc for a stupid jump start, we tried that and zippo, so it must be the starter. So there it is sunday afternoon, everything closed, he gave me a ride home with the dog, then a ride back to the clinic where I called around. After calling the 4th # I got hold of a 24 hour tow place's cell, that happened to be next door to the clinic and they are supposed to come get the cage and fix it to-morrow. Doc gives me a lift back home, by now I'm feeling Ive really inconvienienced the man on his day off but what could I do. So to unwind I did a trip to another nearby small town and back, topped the gas tank up, popped the CVT cover off and checked it all out- still looks mint condition in there with 325 km. And that was my day, now the dog gets surgery Weds and the growth almost looks larger than it was at noon. Oh and I sliced open the top of a middle finger on a sheet metal drip strip putting the ladder back in the shed and it bled like heck, finally stopped, but then I was taking a bath now all of a sudden the water goes red! at first I went what the!!!!! and then I noticed my plam was all bloody and when I bent my finger blood actually squirted out! Must have cut a little capilary or something, the hot water disolved the clot and it's still leaking. What a day

I am trying to convince my neighbor to buy that 150cc Kymco in dallas so that we can take a scooter tour one weekend. He has a Kawasaki Concorde 1300 Sport Tourer, but I let him ride the TGB and he absolutely loved it.
Anybody ever put in 400 miles in a day?

Now this is just plain wierd... I checked that mass on my dog this evening and HALF of it is simply GONE! Wow, I have no idea, it was firm and even the vet said it was a firm mass, gave her a shot, I gave her a pill at noon, and now half of the thing is just gone whatever it is. So I guess I'll have to shock the vet with an update! What's real strange is the mass was so large I was kicking myself since Sunday at HOW I could possibly have missed something that large and so obvious, and that it it grew twice it's size in 2 days, or I've gone daft and blind to have missed seeing this for however long it would take a fatty tumor to grow this size- weeks, months. Now with half of it literally gone overnight, it leads me to conclude it HAD to have grown that rapidly in 2 days, as there's no way I could have missed it. I feel better and less daft now I'm feeling more optimistic it's not a horrible cancer And I'm feeling better that she may not need expensive surgery after all

I rode my 250cc scooter to Mansfield, Ohio from Toledo about the first week of April. Returned the long way via Findlay and then north on I75. When I got home I had put right at 250 miles total on the bike that day. Was a little tired but okay when I got home. Not bad for almost 70 years old!
