Just beware.....after purchase, good luck trying to contact them..Google them, complaints and reviews and see for yourself so you can decide whether or not you want to purchase from them.

Hmmm, things change over time. I had nothing but good service and communication with them a couple years ago when I bought my scooter.

I refuse to purchase from them then Wow, a google for the name brings this up on the first line; killermotorsports.com complaints Which brings up; BBB rating is based on 16 factors. Get the details about the factors considered. Factors that lowered the rating for KILLER MOTORSPORTS include: 87 complaints filed against business 2 complaints filed against business that were not resolved Factors that raised the rating for KILLER MOTORSPORTS include: Length of time business has been operating. Response to 87 complaint(s) filed against business. BBB has sufficient background information on this business. Advertising/Sales Issues 19 Billing/Collection Issues 1 Delivery Issues 12 Guarantee/Warranty Issues 10 Problems with Product/Service 45 =========================== Product problems though are more of a manufacturer issue, the dealer sells the product they dont design/build it, BUT, here was one of their responses to one of the complaints I read, bascially getting themselves out of any repair/replacement as the customer had done mechanical work on the ATV (forget the dealer had shipped this guy a gasket TO INSTALL HIMSELF to correct an oil leak, ) and then they further let themselves off the hook with the statement of "We do not know how the ATV was handled during ownership." WOW! still thats 87 complaints in the last 3 years!

Unfortunately it seems all these companies are the same. My friend called up superior motorsports to buy a scooter, left his name and number on their voicemail, no one called him back. So now he is going to buy elsewhere, also since i have my scooter, alot of my friends want to buy one now, but i would hate to recommend to them where to buy, if killermotorsports returned my calls, they wouldve gotten alot of business from me.

87 complaints filed against business 2 complaints filed against business that were not resolved 2 out of 87 ain't bad bro. this essentially says that 97% of the complaints received HAS been resolved. BTW, and i mean no disrespect for the BBB, the BBB would be the LAST place i would check for shady dealers. a company can indeed screw their customers and STILL escape the radar of BBB.

ok leo. Where would you check? known previous customers. it also helps to know what to look for, and that depends on the type of business.

Actually... if you go and read the BBB's criteria, you'll find that if the complainant does not follow up and CLOSE their case, they automatically ASSUME there was a satisfactory resolution! That 2 cases unresolved is false and misleading because I read some of the complaints, one ATV owner was VERY unhappy and it looked like he simply gave up as the dealer pulled a fast one on him- sending him a new gasket for an oil leak, and then denying culpability for any warrantee coverage because the customer had done WORK on the engine (by replacing the gasket!) They also denied the refund/replace because the ATV was used and could not be returned in the SAME condition it was shipped to the customer in. This case wound up being closed by the BBB and marked as "resolved" because the customer did not continue with the process nor close it. I only read a couple of the complaints, but if most of the "resolved" complaints similarly had "dropped out" or not closed their cases, they were also marked as "resolved to customer satisfaction" by the BBB and that's totally misleading. Do you honestly feel that 87 pissed off people angry enough to file a written complaint with the BBB in 36 months is acceptable? These are only the ones strung along long or deep enough with problems to get fired up enough to go FILE to get help they aren't getting. That's an average of two pissed off customers a month, it tells me there is a PROBLEM- be it poor employee morale maybe a high turnover rate, poor communication. Oh certainly mistakes happen, damage happens, customer gets the wrong item, papers get mixed up or lost in the mail, but it shouldn't take 25 unreturned phone call messages and emails, or getting a runaround for a month to get a problem that was a mistake- resolved. Certainly there are customers from hell too, shoe fits the other foot there, and I know someone like that who is SUPER, SUPER Anal about perfection, who has complained and tried to return a new table saw because the cast-iron top was some incredibly minute amount like 0.002 out of perfect flatness across it's 3 feet. He complained so much the company wound up sending him a free replacement top, and some free goodies and other stuff at their cost to get rid of him. I honestly don't see this as acceptable.

Actually... if you go and read the BBB's criteria, you'll find that if the complainant does not follow up and CLOSE their case, they automatically ASSUME there was a satisfactory resolution! that isn't all. if the business just gives a satisfactory explanation the case is "resolved" in the eyes of the BBB. you are indeed correct to say the information is misleading. it's the primary reason i will not rely on BBB reports. i don't know the particulars about this but the dealer has a valid point. any time you do more than regular maintenance to an engine you can easily void the warranty. no, but then again i question whether there were actually 87 people. this is one of the things you need to be aware of. a concerted effort by a small group of dedicated people can ruin a business.

I would go by Scootdawg dealer ratings before the BBB. Now just for full disclosure. I have a Killer JCL 250 with 20,000 miles and Mike treated me right at the time of sale and afterwards, bought back Sep 2010 still own the killer machine.
You have to decide though. Good luck.

Hey fellas, Sorry to bring the bad news of MY experience with KillerMotor sports, but it was awful. I just bought (arrived Feb 2012) a 250cc Roketta for getting around my town (atlanta burbs') and it arrived scratched up with plastic wind shield cracked and plastic around handle bars cracked. Called the service manager over there (Wayne) and in response to the paint he tells me to go to a parts store an purchase a can of spray paint ! ! LOL what an ass. Anyone who knows about painting cars or bikes would get a good laugh. I too had a horrible time getting someone to answer the phone over there in TX. Seems no one returns calls ither. The fuel line to the carburator was not connected after I uncrated it. Another fuel line from the engine had a tear and it was horribly leaking fuel. After I got everything up and running I needed to get the tag and title. Seems after 30 days the rhodes scholar over there at KillerMotorsports (female in the customer service dept.) had NOT attempted to send my title. I could not get a tag until I had my title in my hand. When I called she gave me some cock-a-mamie story. I paid everything in full so she should have sent it....another week of waiting for it to arrive. My advice to any new potential buyers (my friends or your friends) tell them to check out this forum...much insight can be obtained from our crappy experiences. The bike is running good now but I have yet to find a busines that services my bike here in the Douglasville Ga area--it's kinda one horse-ish city. Beware when buying from Killer. GOOD DAY !

I can usually get connnected to someone at KillerMotorSports if I try calling 2 or 3 times over a 15 minute period. However, they almost never return calls. It did take me over 60 days to get the title. I stayed calm and eventually the lady confided that the problem was getting the title from the manufacturer (SRR Motorsports). Her dept also seemed to be grossly understaffed. I had a warranty problem and they basically just pass thru the manufacturer's warranty. And the documentation is ridiculous; they even want pictures of the parts. They don't pay labor or they would probably require videos.

I don't live far from Killermotorsports. When I had my Chinese Linhai 250, I went by there to see if they serviced scooters and they said no but if I remeber correctly I think he said they fixed their own. They were surprised to see me in there showroom. I guess they screwed over so many people, they are gun shy in that office. I wouldn't buy from them, unless I lived close to them and you can go there and get the service promised.

Yep. Just online warehouses that never want to hear from you (let alone SEE you.) after they get your money. (Something the Chinese are going to have to remedy if they want to move up in the motoring world.)

Online dealers are all the same- get your money and than want nothing to do with you.. Best know how to work on your own scooter.. Scootdawg Forum is good at giving information on scooters and how to fix them. So it is a must to me, though I have not had any big issues. My Bali 250 runs great still. But I get tips from all of you. Helpful.

Been on these forums for a couple of years and it is sad to see the stories of people geting ripped off. Our first two scooters were the drop-ship variety, from two different dealers. Luckily we had no issues with either, bikes and paperwork was promptly delivered. Not to long after both dealers were out of business or changed there names, with multitudes of complaints. Buying a drop-shipped scooter is really a roll of the dice. You can possibly save a bundle, or be be out a bundle. My advice is dont buy online unless you fully check out the dealer, and have patience to deal with possible heartaches. Would I ever buy another scooter online, absolutely not, I will pay extra for a local dealer, whom I can deal with personally for my bike needs. Made friends at several of the local dealers, and they treat me well.
