If you've never been to Asheville you gotta come and definitely bring your scooter! Great weather, fun windy forest roads, but I will say poor road quality within the city. The blue ridge parkway is grade A and worth any riders time be it on scooter or motorcyle. Such a great little city to tear up and down the streets... Scooter laws are very lax - just wear a helmet and stay off the highway if you can't go over 60mph

Nice pics! I live in Sylva, right over the mountain. My scooter is only 50 CC so I can't make it from my house to the Blue Ridge Parkway, but one day I dream of having a faster scooter than can make it!

I grew up in Asheville. Used to cruise Patton Ave. ever Friday & Saturday night (back when gas was only a buck or so a gallon!)

I am still looking for a riding buddy, and I'm in Asheville/Fletcher. I have ridden all over the place in WNC, the parkway, etc. I am just trying to find someone with a bit of a larger scooter like my Linhai 300, so we can cruise around. A trip to Lake Lure is always nice, especially if you take the long route down 74 with all those curves. Gotta be on your game for that though. One wrong move on those tight curves and you may find yourself under the wheels of a truck. If anyone reading this is in the A-Ville area, and you have a larger scoot or motorbike that can handle longer trips, send me a pm and let's hook up! I am interested this year in a trip to Lake James area, through the back roads, without hitting any interstates.
