Had rear tire on 250cc Bali Scooter changed today. Got tire home and placed on scooter. Rode a half mile ride and the tire blew out. I held it up but it was all over the road. I thought about crashing as it slid off the road. But again it stopped without hurt it. The guy at Goodyear bent the rim while installing the new tire. This caused the tire to let air out instantly. I ordered a NEW rim after getting home. Should I order another new tire..? P.S. My wifes new Honda Rebel 250 motorcycle.. Attachments:

First I'd look into legal action, as far as the tire and rim, only as long as Goodyear PAYS for it! (and make it a Pirelli .... mounted by someone else)

Keep in mind your Chinese scoots are made of really cheap stuff. You know this. It is hard to work on aluminum wheels without ruining them. I think Chinese scoots are made to run till the tires wear out and then dumped. Don't give mechanics a hard time.

Car tire shop equipment is not made for scooters and will tear up your rim and you are not the first to post an incident like this so only a motorcycle shop or a tire spoon and hammer to change a tire

Hi When it comes to someones safety i cant agree with that statement If chaz had got injured or seriously hurt by that mechanics mistake what would you have recommend To forget about it, let it slide and live and let live And insulting our Chinese scoots is crass to say the least imhochaz Relieved and very happy to see that you were not injured in any way I would seek some kind of compensation from the shop in question At the least a new rim and tire as they are liable for the damages and they should thank the heavens that it didnt turn out to be much worse Take care and drive safely Yours Hank

They are cheap rims.. I can't change them myself, so on this part, I am stuck having someone else do it. The Honda Dealer said he could change my tires. For now own, he gets my business. I will have to get the new rim, before they can change it.
I will eat the cost of the new rim.. Goodyear honestly tried to change the tire, but I wish they told me that the rim bent.. I would not have gambled with it being bad.. I did not get hurt- a little frightened but not a scratch.. If I would have been hurt, well that would have been different..
