Well its working, Got some info about those dynabeads.. I broke the bead on my scooter gy6 tires and added 6oz of air soft balls in there. Got rid of all the stick on weights. Works perfectly! I do have a fresh set of Avon viper tires. Even if you pick up a rock the air soft beads adjust and balance all the time, even hitting bumps seems to adjust on the fly. There is very little friction as the fly out at about 3 mph and just stay there. 500 miles so far all seems well.. will keep updating.

Did you give it a test ride before removing the balancing weights ?

Funny, when first got Dyna beads I thought for a minute I was sent two small bags of soap powder. (That's how small the beads are.)

I thought the Dynabeads were supposed to stay put in the tire once it self balances. Of course, they will move around a bit as balancing needs change. The airsoft BBs I'm sure will always fall to the bottom, making the first few seconds a bit noisier than once you get up to speed. Bikerdude, do you find that to be the case?

Greg It is centrifugal force the pushes the beads in place to balance the tire. (that is maybe one reason they are almost microscopically small.)

Actually... if we want to be exact... there is no such thing as centrifugal force... it is what is called a pseudo-force. The actual forces at play are centripetal, with a velocity always perpendicular with the axis of rotations, and acceleration towards the axis .

All I know is that it works! Had a lot of lead on a scoot that ran good, but like 4 oz of lead? ? Measured on a digital scale.. removed that glob, test drove it and I was sure it was needed as I didn't like it at all!!! Put 6 oz of air soft beads and it was perfect, without the weight. Shined up my rim.. Yes when I push it around I heard a noise, at pull out no noise is noticed. I don't really care what it sounds like at stop, just when running! You pick up a rock its balances for it, tires wear, your balls are there! pun intended. These was a demo on utube a guy had 20oz weight in a Pepsi bottle chucked in a drill, it wobbled around crazy!, One ounce of dyna beads and it offset so bottle ran smooth... Me being cheap, bought big jug of Camo colored beads at wally world.. read all the benefits on the dynabead site... Breaking the bead to pour these in can be hard to do, so the real deal goes in the air valve. Don't shoot the messenger..

Here is what dyna bead site says "Motorcycles and Scooters ride s-m-o-o-t-h with Dyna BeadsĀ®!
You simply won't believe the ride...
Glass smooth ride, every time, all the time. Dramatically longer tire life No rebalancing No spoke or rim weights Eliminates tire cupping. Easy to install Your motorcycle dealer won't want to do it the old way once he's tried Dyna Beads!"
Hope thats not a bad thing to cut and paste here? Copyrights?

I used them on my old Goldwing after bringing the tire back to the shop twice for rebalance. I order the beads, pulled the weights and added about and ounce and a half to the tire. Problem solved, bike rode smooth.

I plan on getting these very soon, at the speeds my scooter is going it feels like it's about to shake apart, I stiffened up the swing arm and that helps some but these would make it glide. I get up to around 63MPH, yes I am crazy.

it could but youd have to drive for a long time till it hardens,,,, most tires ive changed wit fix a flat in them were terribly out of ballance because of the fix a flat, it settled and dryed

Came across Ride-On Tire Protection Systems. Self balances like dynabeads but it also seals small punctures. Thinking of becoming a dealer if it works well. It doesn't need to harden so it sets up immediately and it never dries out. Supposedly. Some online reviews are good but I can't trust them. Might try it in a few scooters.
