Took my new Viper into town today! It was like driving a space ship, people stopping, waving, thumbs up, photos, no one has ever seen anything like it. Even the bike shops I stopped at for advice thought it was awesome. Of course Harley and Honda mechanics didn't want to touch it because it was Chinese....lol. So why can't an American company build and sell something like it? Oh yeah it's to economical and save gas! One guy was taking a video on his cell phone and telling his wife to keep up with the trike in the next lane. Great ride around town but it's a dog on the highway, going to have to do some upgrades or get ran over. 50 mph doesn't cut it with redneck truckers. Attachments:

major american companies havent, but tons of small companies have made them, sub g1 ($65000) is one of my favorite. but several european companies have, t rex (37000 british pounds), Peugeot, and several others. Not a new concept. they have never sold well, so i doubt you see anyone jumping into that market anytime soon.
the ones that do sell are pushing 130- 200 hp out of 4 cylinder sport bike engines with redlines around 14000
they accelerate to 60 in like 4 secs, all liteweight componenets that are also top shelf. cause if you can hit 60 in 4 secs u better be able to stop quick to.
you basically buy a new sport bike $$$$$, cut it in half and add a bunch of expensive off the shelf parts up front $$$$$ and a handful of custom parts($$$$$$) to make it all work together.
so what the difference between that and a chinese trike with top speed of 50?
a g2 kit will set you back 26 grand, thats a cheap option, turn key is 36000
most people think for 30k u should get a trunk. or a windshield. no shortage of kits and turn keys out there, venom, invaders, ts, talon, vr13, cyclone. and on and on.
