Hello everybody just a quick question i am trying to deside which scoote will be best for me .I have a 08 roketa capri mc-16 150cc scooter with 1,500 miles now and i love it. But I want to trade up to a 250cc scooter. and i found some one that will trade me out right for a 07 FMS roadster 250 cc scooter with less than 3,000 miles on it and it looks to be in great shape This is made by jmstar and looks like the roketa mc54. Just wandering if this is a good deal I really want to move up to a 250cc. Are these good scooters i have herd good things and bad things. Thanks for the help Panther

all decisions in your life are yours........it's not my money being spent.
they r good scoots but 07 is how old now?
and another thing, and this is just to think about Why would that person make that deal to go a older scoot with twice as many miles and 100 cc less?
WHAT is that person's motivation ? seems he's losing on the deal so WHY would he ?

I guess I am always a little suspicious of a good deal. too good is probably not as good as I think.
And this seems a little to good to be true.
What the bug waiting to bite you? From what I have seen of chinascoots, except for a very few prime names, every one is different. Quality control is does not exist often. When I say every one is different, I mean of the scoots coming off the assembly line one is nearly bulletproof and the next is junk and the next is OK . Just depends on luck.
Now most of the time, with patience and work they are fixable with cheap parts and lots of labor.
You are new here, so we do not know you and do not have any idea of what you are trying to do. why trade? What are you trying to do. We have dealers here that will try to get you a good scoot at near wholesale. If you are careful and a good wrencher, we can help you fix or find. Craig's list is always interesting and sometimes, very productive.
If you need to get on the interstate for more than a little at non rush times, most 250's will not do you. I think you need at least an EFI 250 to deal with rush hour on the Interstate or some of the busy urban streets. I am surprised how vulnerable even my majesty 400 with EFI is.
On the other hand, almost any 250 will handle most to and from work if the roads are not a lot of 65MPH or faster.
On used 250's check the cooling carefully. I would insist upon some level of guarantee re the cooling system.
Looking forward to being more help. Cheers lefty2
