Hey guys and gals, I have a 125cc Chinese scooter, and my front tire (130/60) is getting thin in a few spots on one side. The mesh or webbing is showing in three spots, and in one it has worn through another layer of rubber showing a second webbed layer. I'm getting nervous now wondering how many layers are left and what might happen if the tire punctures. It's a tubeless tire, and it doesn't seem to be under a lot of pressure when I fill it up. I've ridden on the back tire flat before to get it to the mechanic, so I'm thinking as long as I'm going slowly I have a chance of not eating it if it bursts while I'm riding, but it is the front tire...
Anyway I have another tire ordered, but I live in the caribbean where it could take a while to arrive.
Thoughts?

Hi Welcome aboard Pleased to meet you I would limit your riding as much as possible until you can replace the tire If you have no choice but to ride her i would wear full protective gear and limit your speed to the slowest possible to accomplish your journey Whats best imho is not to ride until the new tire is put on Take care and drive safely Yours Hank

Most tires have 4 ply's, i wouldn't suggest riding, especially if its the front tire.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, including the op, but anyone who would ride a two wheel vehicle with the threads showing on either the front or rear tire has to be either a child whos parents really don't care wherther he/she lives or dies, or an idiot! Ban me if you like but I only speak the truth!

Oh dang idiot #1 over here.
I live on an island where there isn't a lot of traffic, so it wasn't a problem riding around at ~5mph, although my scooter didn't run so well as a result. I finally got a new tire and a little tune up, and I'm not dead or disfigured if anyone wondered about the resolution of this issue...
