I just bought a used Magnum Trike with only 367 miles on it. I am not new to scooters but I am new to trikes. The problem I have is that when I put it in reverse it starts to move then just freewheels. I also noticed that the rear end gear is not aligned with the sprocket on the motor. It is not off by much but I can notice it. Any help would be appreciated.

I am assuming that since it is a 2010 that reverse is controlled by a lever on the left handle bar. If so make sure that when it is pulled for reverse that the cable is pulling the reverse lever on the rear end fully forward. If not adjust the cable so it does.

To align spockets try spacers (washers) of proper thickness behind appropriate spocket until alignment is achieved.

Moonshine, Just as aside you don't impress me as a person that has worked much on scooters. This is not knock on you but as a suggestion, I would swing by RapidJim's website and check his link to the PDI (Post Delivery Inspection). Go though and check out your scooter for nut, bolt and screw tightness, change ALL of the fluids and go over your alignment. I happen to know Jim on a personal basis and can tell you he is well known and respected on this and other web groups. The longer you hang around and check, you will find good information on the trikes and the scooter that makes up the trike. Good luck and happy scooting Ed
p.s. feel free to pm me if you want to chat about the 2010 Magnum as I do have one.
