i just bought a 2006 chinese scooter... the seller had just replaced the carb, lines, plug, battery, etc. it would only go 25 when i drove it away...
by the way, it would bog out when the throttle was all the way open

..took the tools out at home to remove a restrictor (so i wouldnt have to even come close to full throttle) there doesnt appear to be one,
no washer, no rings.. anyways so i started trying to fix what seemed to be an air problem by adjusting the air/fuel screw on the carb. ive kicked it outta whack and seems like theres no return.. ive since had the screw in every position and it still bogs out and only goes 10 mph now, then hits a brick wall if you open it more than 1/4 of the way.. i know ive left things out, but please someone go ahead and ask me or tell me something i dont know!! thank you, any input appreciated

Warm up the scooter until enricher closes. Now Turn A/F screw all in then out 2.5 turns. Turn A/F screw OUT 1/8 and wait to see if idle goes up. Keep going to reach highest idle possible. If it does not idle up turning out, the start at 2.5 and turn 1/8 IN to highest idle. Then set the idle screw.

Does your scooter have the stock air box?
