Congrats on the new scoot. It's always the little silly things that set us back sometimes, huh. Hopefully, you"ll get the bugger open soon so you can set it up and get on the road.

Thanks Calvarychap, Yeah because of that little silly thing as the seat wont open. I cant get to my manuals and all the new parts that are under the seat. Even the new battery is under that seat and i cant start it up until i get under that dang seat. Waaaaaaaa....

hulk24 You can let the seat down...It is a bear sometimes, but do not push the key in just turn it to the left, mine takes all you have, it is hard to the left. Now to lock the front wheel out you push in and turn with the forks to the full left or full right. The 300 is an OK machine, I enjoy the heck out of my Magnum 300

First try graphite lock lube for the lock. Also put some on the latch. When you insert the key push it in and let the spring push it back then turn it to the left. You can trip the latch with a screw driver without closing the seat. Try the key to see if it will open easily.

Locks take graphite usually in powder form. It is very slick and doesn't gum up.

Rapid Jim, I just finish what you posted on that link. My seat open no problems now. The nut that hold the adjustment sleeve in place was very loose. So I adjust the sleeve and then tighten up the nut. Thanks a bunch Rapid Jim, and everyone else !!
