i recently bought a 2007 newer style 50cc roketa gy6 scooter bone stock...the only thing wrong is i think my electronic choke isnt working and obvcourse not fast enough! i have heard alot of what i could do to get more power, speed and acceleration without installing a bbk. so far im shopping for a high performance carb, (hopefully one that is a 22mm with bigger jets but i dont know how much bigger jets i can put in it or should put in without overdoing it and whether i will need and intake adapter with the new 22mm.), also looking at an aftermarket cdi box and coil and wire, aftermarket variator, aftermarket clutch and springs, aftermarket air filter, new battery and new belt, i weigh 190 lbs and also need to know which size and weights i would need for best acceleration and most importantly top speed! i dont know if i get bigger wheels and tires if that will help with speed or not, i dont really want to buy an aftermarket exhaust unless its gonna help ALOT...so if anyone could please help me, tell me what i need and what i dont need so i dont waste my money on useless parts, and what sizes and specs on evrything, and the best products and who to buy them from for reasonable prices. I would really appreciate anyone and everyones help and opinions on how i should go about this and what i can do to beef up my GY6, im aiming for 55mph but do not want to take anything apart on engine or get a bbk. thanks again!

I think what they are trying to tell you is:
1. Overzealously trying to go faster without the proper knowledge will more then likely result in utter failure
2. This is your only means of transportation and utter failure isn't an option for you.
Being an experienced mechanic you should realize the ignorance exercised by asking for specific information on such a vague subject.
I'm sure someone here will help you but I would try a different approach.. and possibly a more realistic top speed goal

im not trying to be a smart ass--honest
i am not a mech but have been on scooters for a couple yrs now.
all i keep seeing on this forum is people with 50 cc scoots trying to go 50mph. if u read any info at all 50 cc scoots are NOT made to go that fast they are made to do 30-40 mph THAT'S ALL
now if ur a super mech and can change jet sizes--which means u will also have to change exhaust. then ur gonna have to mess with rollers and weights and carbs ETC ETC ETC
BUT in the long run ur gonna blow a 50cc up, if u try to run it at 50 for daily use. they just were NOT made to do that
if u really wanna cruise at 50 mph get a 150cc or bigger
its just like a lil 4 cly. car u cant drive 75 miles a hour every day day in and day out they werent made for it
