From what I can tell, they are working on the site, for 2012.. They offer a 1-800 number if anyone has any questions.

They have a new IT guy who is upgrading their website. They are going to mirror the China site. www.cfmoto.cn/

If I were to say, a 650 motorcycle or two and the V3 and VIP Fashion are history.

Just went on the chinese site and there is no Fashion 250 listed anymore. I've heard from dealers and parts vendors that this might happen. I happen to have the Qlink version of the fashion. Had some problems and the US/CFMOTO contact didn't know squat about scooters. The dealers have been good but my experience with CF MOTO has been below average. Next time, I'll spend the extra money and go mainstream. Not worth all the hassle. Chris

Back in December I posted: If I were to say, a 650 motorcycle or two and the V3 and VIP Fashion are history. With the new Jetmax there was no need for the VIP Fashion. It was not selling all that well.

I saw the post and appreciate the insight. I very much enjoy my scoot but had some issues which I think are resolved. After 4 years and over 9000 miles my thoughts have changed about the "chinese scooter thing". Don't think I'd do it again. Cheap isn't always inexpensive. I have to say that all the dealers I worked with were more than decent though. The jet max looks like a nice bike ,but the company behind it.. just don't know. Chris

IF JAPAN AND TAIWAN
could give me for 5000.00 what xingyue gave me for 1300.00
it would be the best made machine in the world.
I just put 10,000 miles on a cheap china belt, tho it was a super cooled CVT.

Everybody has a different take. Wonderful, I'm glad you got the mileage out of the belt. My experience with my scoot was great up until this past season and I think the problem is solved. But here's the rub, I've called, Faxed and e-mailed CFMOTO several times with questions about service and parts. I waited over a month for parts after having already paid for them. Little information was available about the delay. It appears as though they are dropping the Fashion, which was told to me by several dealers in the course of getting said parts. How long do you think it will be before they drop the parts for the fashion completely. The fashion was old technology. I also own a Yamaha V_star, No comparison when you call a factory rep. I've test drove the Burgman, Silverwing, Kymco Grand Vista and the Kymco exciting. You take your chances on the chinese stuff, I knew that going into it. After my own experience, I'm done with it, won't do it again. The point of this forum is information to help people make choices. This is just my experience. I hope you're just as forthcoming when that belt with 10,000 miles leaves you at the side of the road. Thats about all I ask.

It looks like the 150cc scooters are no longer for the US market, Just the 250 V5, the 250 Jetmax and 2 new 650 motorcycles.

Looks like the Glory is going away too, at least on the China website. So what is going to be the availability of 150 parts in the US? Should I consider selling my Glory? It's only got 1400 miles on it.

It's only got 1400 miles on it. I can find where I read this so take it with a grain of salt, Cf Moto (or so I read) was going to do a new production run of 150cc model bikes but has lots of left over 150 Glory's from 09. They want dealers to sell those out before they provide any details on a new model. There are dealers here with many 09 Glory's and I have a quote for $1500 which is looking really hard to pass up. I like the Kymco Yager better, BUT the $3500 bike the dealer wants about $4200 out the door. WHAT? They told me there is about $280 shipping on top of the retail price. Is that customary or is this just a markup that they are trying to add?

We are completely out of the Glory and only have 2 E-Charms left. I spoke with management just last week and there will be no more 150cc CFMOTO scooters in the US.

Huh, bad news. Seemed like decent ride choice in a popular segment at a competitive price.

All I can say is they weren't at the Dealer Expo.
Went from practically sponsoring the thing a few years ago to not even attending, HMMM.

To the dealers on this thread, thanks for the insight. I read in Motorcycle Consumer News, Cf moto is subject to a recall about lacking foot brake pedals on certain bikes. Waiting to see how their responce is. I should guess scooters might become more desirable given the recent surge in gas price. Wish the "Chinese thing" wasn't so shakey. Outside of all this, what are your experiences with CF Moto as far as communication and support? Chris

That was old news and that recall was honored with adapted foot pedal brakes. The big hit was an EPA confiscation last year over adjustable carburetors and generic hose. They haven't really recovered since, and (not sure if related) since then many Chinese scooter manufacturers have been hesitant to work with US dealers.

Biggest trouble these days is that many of the international scooter mfrs just don't want to be bothered with all the required hoops they are expected to jump through in able to do business in the US( ie: EPA, CARB, Customs, etc) not to mention the various State requirements, ala PA)
And you have to admit, scooters in the US are a novelty, and are not considered by the American people to be a serious mode of transportation.
As one rep told me, " We sell more scooters in Nigeria than we do in the US"

As one rep told me, " We sell more scooters in Nigeria than we do in the US" Who can blame them. Lets face it they are in business to make money and in the last 30 years the U.S. has done nothing but discourage any MFG of motor vehicles from marketing here with the insane increased requirements, red tape that they come up with all the time. Now as far as Pa what Ive read makes me hesitent to bring the two bikes in storage in Va. to Pa. because I just dont need a hassle! I even wonder how much crap Im going to get at Honda or Harley for a Pa bike inspection because I have Chinese bikes!
