I ordered one of the 40 dollar windshields and installed it "as is", and the windscreen "L" brackets come bent from the factory at a 90* angle making the windshield stand straight up making the bike look a little dated.
I took the windshield off and bent the "L"'s to about a 65* angle to make it look more eye pleasing as it now tilts backs towards the rider.
It also helps to keep the wind off you better than the windscreen when it's at a 90.
I'll post pics later as it's starting to rain now.
Thx, wooddogg.

I forgot to say an easy way to bend them.
Take the nuts off and drill a 4x4 block of wood with a drill bit about the same width as the "L" about a 1/2" from the edge.
Stick the short end into the hole and you should have plenty of leverage now to bend the "L" to the desired angle.

Here's a pic of it installed without modification from the factory; I'll post the pic of it tilted back later when it quits raining.

I had to do that with the windshield I got from Heinkel. The brackets were just not quite right. I found that a dumpster has useful fixtures for bending the thick metal rods that hold the windshield.

Looks good! I bet you get another 2-3 mph from that. My only concern is that the edge of the windscreen is just at eye level. I have a face shield on my helmet, but I'm still concerned about stopping abruptly and how that becomes a knife edge.

I thought the same thing too til I got on and the top of the shield is at throat level, not that that is any better, lol! Thx Greg, wooddogg. ;D

I looked all over the yard and garage for something that would work, and ended up having to fab a block of wood. I like the dumpster idea, thx, wooddogg. ;D

OK thanks wooddog and Larry for the info. See i had thought it would not fit and it seems that a little "twist and pull" mod is all that is needed to get it looking right. Im with Greg on the "stop too fast and ouch!" as i use a FF helmet aswell. But like Larry, the dark tinted one might be the one i would get as it would look better with my yellow scoot.
Hey Larry.. got a pic of it on you'r scoot you would share?

Sure Larry, I know you can't see it in my signature but it's there.. Here are some better pics that you can see it.. As you can see I don't have mine tilted as far back, for exactly the reason Greg mentioned..

Here's a pic of my windshield. I've lowered it by flipping the bracket over and tilted it back a few degrees. I would have tilted it back to follow the front angle except that the top edge is exactly at my eyeline. I'm not comfortable with it tilted back as sometimes I ride with the face shield up. At least the top edge is rolled forward a bit. Yes, I have graphics on the windshield that says Mainely Scooters on it. Greg Attachments:
