I was skeptical but love them now. last year when the cold weather hit I would take 20mins. to get my two stroke warmed up and then still occasionally would foul out the e3's I thought were good. These Iridium's fire right up and never miss a beat even in cooold weather! If this is what you call performance then these are performance plugs.

From my own experience, I have used only 2 plugs in 4 years. They were the stocked plugs.. People say performance plugs are better, but it depends. Also Iridium plugs can fowl out too.

Well I did find that with the Iridium Plug it idles smoother and burns the fuel better. Also you will notice right away it will IDLE about 200 rpms higher than your regular Plug and that is because it is igniting the fuel more evenly.
Don't take my word for it try it, notice where rpms are at Idle with your current plug and then swap it out and put in an Iridium Plug. No need to gap it or anything just take it out of the box and slap that sucker in. Lefty

I use one in my Royal Enfield. The plug and prem. gas makes it a one kick start even in cold weather.

Wooddogg, You have to at least admit putting some foreign product in the most important part of the engine has to be questioned. I am not making light of this, I just hope all the ones that have done it or doing it do not ruin there motors. Also some of these people are young and barely have money to put gas in them, but when they hear SPEED their eyes open wide. It may work in the short run but nobody knows what it will do down the line. Just like slick 50 it worked great for a while then it turned the oil to sludge and blocked all the oil passages and filter. Lefty

OK...Ive been reading post after post saying NGK Iridium is the way to go. Now I read here that they are not proven and beware. I would like to go with an NGK, but the only one I've found is NGK Copper for just a few bucks. Where as Mail-Order Iridiums can run as much as $25 w/shipping. Now I'm totally confused....:x

Iridium is a semiconductor meaning it has 4 valence electrons per atom compared to 1 of a conductor . Having 4 it can exchange more electrons from atom to atom though a better flow of electricity . I just put a NGK iridium and it does run much better .
I ran those on my Honda CR125 and not only performed better but has less fouling . I would simply use carb cleaner on it and was good as new again .

well i got one in my scooter..and noticed a slight improvement,,,,i.e. instant starting....lefty.....what is the logic behind ...no need to gap.....or is it inherent in scootadawg's explannation...

Roboscoot, They are PRE-GAPPED at the factory, But I really think the reason is some folks do not know how to gap a plug and may break the FINE POINT on the Electrode, I really think that is the real reason. But you can gap them if you know how and carefull not to break the point. Lefty

I run the Iridium in my Magnum 300cc Trike and also in my Honda Reflex 250cc. All I can say is I never worry about the plug and yes they idle a little higher, had to cut the idle back on the Honda

I'm going to sell the basic stuff that you can get from most online stores. Should be up and running in the next few days. Have the new website working, just working on the eStore stuff. Greg

Put Iridium in my engine? ? No way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll wait to see if anyone sends a video in of them putting it in their engine before I believe they did that and wait to see if their engines birth space aliens before I try that!!!!!!!!!!! See how dumb that sounds? LOL!!!!! ;D I think most people missed the joke. He was referring to the Boric Acid threads. Greg

Iridium do work better but they wont wake up a sleeping monster . Almost any brand name sparkplugs come pregapped but it only takes a few seconds to double check with a blade or dial gauge . I put one in my Echarm after getting valvesadjusted and have instant starting though I have not had any starting issues prior . Sparkplug is the cheapest and easiest way to tune up any engine . NGK was the best when I started two wheeling 26 years ago and they are still the best today .
In earlier post I tried to explain the dif in a conductor and a semiconductor , in short semi flows electricity much better as it has less resistance . Electricity is just the exchange of electrons on the outer shell of an atom to another . Iridium is the way to go to keep your scooter running at its best

Had new SunL 150cc 2+years ago which began running poorly in first 100 mi. with factory (Chinese) plug. Went to local parts store and they gave me an Autolite for $3. Fixed the problem and has run fine for 3,500 mi. now. Starts well and runs great. It seems to make a spark and a spark is a spark isn't it? LF

i went to advanced auto parts, and they ordered me an NGK irridium plug for about 7 dollars and had it in the next morning.. Trying to cross reference the plug is where they have trouble.. On the chinese scooters it is easier to go on NGKs website, type the plug number in and see what vehicles it is in.. Then tell the person at the parts store one of those vehicles, and they will cross it over from stock ngk to irridium
