The idle on my Icebear magnum is over 1,800 rpm and it's running rougher than my lawnmower. I have an email into Jim at Rapid Repair but I have a feeling he may be gone until Monday. What do I adjust using what on the carburetor?
I get to about 4,100 rpm and the speedometer reads 55. This right or is my spedo that much out of whack? I am keeping up with traffic in a 45 mph zone. Here no one does the speed limit so I may doing over 50 just keeping up.
Trike is a lot quicker than I thought it would be and I haven't given it full throttle yet.
Need to get a new front tire. Should I also look into a new front wheel? Do motorcycle shops spin balance tries?
Thanks for all the help you folks have given me it is appreciated. To those who celebrate Festivus your gift should be there in time.

Hi Ger42, You most likely have a 30mm or 32mm carb the Fuel Ratio Mixture is up front BUT UNDER the Manifold Intake Side. It is a PITA to get to but if you us a tip from a screwdriver that takes interchangeable bits that are about 1inch in length that works good. Then you can adjust it to get the smoothest IDLE it may be running RICH if it idles rough to much fuel and at idle it sort of floods it. And it is ok if it idles a little high some motors need to idle a little high usually from 1500-1800 rpms. Here is a picture of where the Fuel Ratio Screw is: Lefty

Ger, under the carb towards the front you will see a copper like cap...pop it off that iests the fuel mixture adjuster. Take just the flat tip from your screwdriver, a commo0n, flat head and turn it in or out till you get the highest idle. Wait 30 seconds...between adjustments and never more than 1/4 turn at a time. Sounds to me you are running too rich so try going in, clock wise first. Mine did the same thing and was set way to rich.

I did email you back last night. edfr and mike are right on. Make sure you wait the 20 to 30 seconds between 1/4 turns, it takes some patience to adjust the air/fuel mixture. Also, did you ever get the radiator grill piece from IB, never heard back from you. Jim

Lefty, They sent me all them parts for my Magnum and I never got charged. I had jim order me something that was not covered on the warranty and they charged me way too much.
Guess you know the only way to get parts here in Florida is you have to order them dealers not even able to sell parts

I played with the adjustment screw yesterday. The best idle was right where it was set. I'll ride it more than pull the plug and see what it tells me. Yes I'll post a picture of the plug when I pull it.
