Yes, must be to try and stop the SPAMMERS from coming on as guests and stirring things up. They changed it yesterday I noticed it and thought at first it was having problems linking to the site but I tried it a few times and as they say the LIGHT CAME ON(HAHA).
But there is a much better way of doing this BUT the owner I believe has to do it and or has the authority. Lefty

I have no problem I wish more of the boards I am on did it. One of the gun forums I frequent allows guests but they can't post or read the buy/sell/trade part of the board.

It's not staying logged on that's the problem Hank. It's that anyone who comes to this forum HAS to join or be "logged in" to see anything. A non member used to be able to look around the forum without being a member. Now you NEED an account to see anything. Somethings up IMO..... Hi Ah thanks for clearing that up for me Must be new security measures then Take care and drive safely dear friend Yours Hank

eww... I have an account here, but as an internet user I'll leave a forum if they require a login to just read it. I dont like having 500 logins to every place I have a question.

I think this is probably in response to the disgusting post medman has mentioned... Times change dawgs, I don't really like having to log in every time, but i understand scootdawgs position... They are in essence trying to make everyone accountable for what they post... It's still a great place and ill continue to post even if I have to log in.. As I said time change and often a select few spoil it for the many.. Just the way it is.. I would rather have to log in than to see threads like what medman described...

This morning the forum came up without logging in, but minus the top group of forums. I logged in and that top group appeared.
For posting, it is imperative to log in. That's fine. But just to read, there should be no need to log in. I do not know what terrible post may have started these changes, but if it was against he rules, them a moderator should simply delete it. If this is some kind of automatic attack, beyond the scope of moderator intervention, then I say good luck to the managers of the forum. I'll be patient.
Hey, this place is about scooters and the fun we have riding them, not international politics.

Not to worry there are only a few that always seem to post things that are controversial and always seems to stir things up. Don't think the MODS do not know who they are and if they continue ADIOS AMIGOS. But I do agree if someone comes on as a guest they should be allowed to READ BUT NOT BE ALLOWED to post or update an existing thread unless they sign up. Lefty
