I ordered a part at Scrappy Dog about a month ago. Still dont have it, never heard anything. No response to email, and nobody answered their phone. Anyone else know anything about them? Normally great place to do business, and fast shipping from a neighboring state for me. Just this time is brick wall.

most complaints here about scrappy don't stay up long as they take care of folks.
Most times.
e=mail them?

not a complaint yet. I've ordered many things from them and they're great. Just this one time no response to email or phone calls. Just wondering if anyone else has communicated with them in the last 30 days.

Did you email direct to service@scrappydogscooters.com or call 702-689-6035 during business hours?

whoa you two. sounds like PM material, not public thread.
Rickmain: yes, I've tried contacting them several times/ways. The only reason I'm bringing it up now (after 30 days) is so I can open a paypal dispute to cancel it before my 45 day limit. Though honestly I'd much rather have the part than the money!
edfr: I've always had good business with Scrappy Dog. They even answered general scooter questions before I ordered anything from them.

The response I was looking for would be someone who has actually talked to them during October, or ordered and received something in October. Or something contrary to communication during October. Facts, not opinions. While I realize this is a public internet forum (which means all the whiners can see it), I was hoping for better information than a Craigslist rant. my mistake.
Since it seems nobody has a similar story, or even a contrary story, in the last 30 days I can assume it's unique to me.

I ordered quite a bit from them in october and I received everything I ordered, there were some mistakes and hopefully Monday I can get it corrected. I like the prices but they really have to work on the people who fill the orders.

O.K. I have been very forgiving on this subject on other sites but this is the first time I have seen the rickman attitude. Rickman there are problems in the scrappy dog system, however all suppliers have problems. The attitude on these posts is a total reflection of your attitude when I had a problem and we talked. Chill out man its not an attack on you or Scrappy its an attempt to get what we need. Scrappy is getting better and better and the selection is fantastic, Mo is great! Sugestion I have is when an order is filled and its wrong, fall on your sword, take the hit and fix it. We all use you, we all send newbies to your site. Fix the problem and you will be 1. That simple.

Thanks Trancebear, exactly what I was looking for. I finally got on the phone with them today. Sounds like I got caught in a logistical rock and hard place involving Paypal and an employee quitting which left my order lost. Should be in the mail now, I'll know in a couple days when it arrives. Having once worked in a production shop I understand how it could happen. I'm happy with the correction and apology I got.

I've received parts packaged with old Chinese newspapers, and even some that had candy that fell out of the packer's pocket. Kinda funny, but we're talking about low cost high volume sales. We're not talking about Amazon fulfillment here.

I have ordered stuff and received an email about it being on backorder. Not a big deal for me, happened yesterday ordering from Target. A few months ago I asked Scrappydog if they had a sticker with their logo. I like the cute dog. Months go by and a couple orders later, They throw a few cute stickers in my package. That was a great surprise. Now Im happy to sport a ScrappyDogScooters sticker on my scooter.

TERRA NUVO - Actually, we've got some great people in our warehouse, not just kids (although we have a couple of those too). They do a great job and we are very proud of them. It is actually such an important part of our business that we quit skimping on those positions and hired quality employees instead. Costs us a bit more, yes... but the customer service returns are well worth it.
Just food for thought.

Once again, Scrappy gets better and better. Its the evolution of a business, either it responds to the customers needs or it gets a bad reputation.

and do encourage the young to be young.
years ago i worked in a mail order stereo shop, we had a million antique mono Hi-fi magazines laying around, I used to pull the articles out whole in tact so i could read the rest of the magazine.
Guys would get their stereo needle or what ever in the mail and read the dam antique article it was wrapped in and if i missed a page they would sometimes call and ask if I had the rest of a story on tubes or something, my boss used to freak about it.
Chinese newspapers? hahahahahaha
keep up the great work. Attachments:

Terra - Oh, fun isn't an issue around here, don't worry, we'll never be mistaken for a corporate entity. We laugh way too much and we are far too loud. (Unlike some other places I've been employed unfortunately...)
Those quality employees are the ones that allow us to have so much fun as well. They know how to laugh and do a quality job at the same time, it is a nice balance.
buiditright - Thank you for the kind words!
Matt
