So it's going to happen...your out and about and then suddenly the skies open up and the angels decide to pee on your ride. So you get out your rain gear. I'm curious to know what you guys (and girls) use. During my MSF class it rained the whole freaking weekend and our instructor suggested getting some Coleman rain gear...normally used for camping. I'm looking at some Frog Toggs, used in construction mostly, due to their durability. So what do you use? I wrote about it here: 2smallerwheels.blogspot.com/2011/10/rain-gear-gearing-up-saga-continues-in.html

houndguy - I keep Frog Toggs underseat in my scooter at all times. They work great, and pack small. Since you and I are in the same part of the world I know just what kind of rain you are talking about.
(I should look to see if we can carry those... Hmmm...)

ger42 - Not usually. My kicks that I normally wear (http://www.chromebagsstore.com/shoes.html) are mostly water resistant (camp dry on cordura works amazing for scooter duty use) and only leak when I really really get caught in the rain. I like these sneakers because the bicycle stuff tends to be fairly bombproof, and I've had one of their messenger bags (Citizen) for about 10 years and I still use it daily. Crazy high quality stuff. I also ride bicycles, so it works well there too.
When I'm on my motorcycle I have a dedicated pair of waterproof Alpinestars boots because I'm normally riding that machine longer distances.

Matt Do you use anything that covers your feet? Years ago I found some great work boots that were oil resistant and waterproof. I've used them ever since for whenever I needed to keep my feet warm and dry. Sadly the brand isn't made anymore. So once I've worn them out I won't know what to do.
