Arizona Highways Magazine has a recent article about good drives. One of them is close to Tucson, so off I went. It was about 100 miles, total, from my house. About 40 miles of this were dirt road. Over all, the dirt quality was pretty good and I found that the worst of it was at the beginning. There was some very deep sand in places, but I manged to keep the bike upright the whole ride. Points of interest on this ride: The "town" of Mescal, actually a western movie set Aqua Verde Castle Great desert scenery raning from 2000 to 4500 feet elevation My last dirt ride, my starter went out and left me stranded. I had better luck this time. I brought my go-pro with me and shot some video. I'll be writing up the ride for my blog soon, but for now, I do have the video up on you tube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdPiIVmBB4QEnjoy Howard
