It is confusing since there more than one way tires are measured it can be a hassle I looked around and most places have " doughnuts " thats what I call the small tires . I could find a front but not a back sometimes and going to tire manufacturers website their database is by name of only popular brands instead of size . I found these 3 sites , one has tires Scarabeos which Echarm is a clone , one has a really good database by sizes and front or back , and third has a calculator to compare various sizes . I could find alot for the front but the rear almost none unless I go up ten mm and I thick I have the clearance to do so . I saw some Avon tires that looked good and had high speed specs but only for rear . I did not know Avon made tires and makeup haha . I decided to go with Pirelli MT75 so I have a matching set with speed rating of T or 118 mph . Yes I know I can not go that fast , but a safer tire also rides better Also in urls is a speed rating code chart . I hope may help others who wish to get REAL tires as I . www.motorcycletire.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tires&Product_Code=PUMT7504&Category_Code=www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.phpwww.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=102www.weeksmotorcycle.com/tire-speed-rating.html

You don't mention the size , but I got Pirelli sl26's in the 10x3.50. Wow Wow Wow. I love those tires, with the stock tires the front would wobble like mad if you took one hand off to scratch, these are good for NO hands! they look like so... www.lambretta.net/shop/shopexd.asp?id=2158

100/80/16 front , 110/80/16 rear going with 120/80/16 which is only .39s of an inch wider with several tires to pick from .The roads here are so bad that considered a street and trail motorcycle with all the bumps and patches . My Cheng Shin tires have a good look and ride but I have not tested on hard riding since its new and I do a gentle break in first 500 then stepup more after 3rd oil change . I had Dunlops on my GS550 they were great , I had to replace them later and only could afford Cheng Shin tires . I would spin , slide and under heavy braking it would spin like a knobby on pavement . I could slide one or both tires if I wanted to ( was a crazy teenager ) . So right then I learned all tires are not the same and its worth it to get premium ones .

Hi I think its a marvelous idea In fact its what i did More thread in contact with the road surface for better handling and stability and the slightly taller tires give about a 1 to 2 mph increase in speed at least in my situation all in all a win win situation ;D Take care and drive safely dearest friend Yours Hank

You just have to measure and make sure that it will clear. On my 2009 EFI I added 3.5" wide tires, the stock were 3.0. The tire is about 3/8" from a protrusion from the crankcase. It won't ever hit it as it's parallel to the tire travel. It's just a bit close so I can't ever run 3.75" wide tires. On my 2010 and 2011 Peace Sports there is plenty of room as they come from the factory with 3.5" wide tires.
