I'm a big Dawg, 6'5" and like to stretch out on the scooter.
Has anyone ever fabbed some pegs out front of the scoot for extra legroom?
Thx, wooddogg.

Well, have not even considered it.. I am 6' 2" and ride fairly comfortable on mine. There could be a good reason why no one has thought of it... See, the foot pegs would have to stick out further than the main body.. If something sticks out further than the main body on the sides, well this means less tilting can occure in a curve without the peds scraping the ground.. Could be dangerous.. Unless of course, the foot pegs go up at a angle and than they would not hit the ground... But you would have to modify the body and weld or bolt on the pegs to metal so it would hold..

On my floor the front edges are angled into of being square . I put my feet there and sit on back of seat since I am 6ft4 on a shortcase and miss my GS550 that had highway pegs , crashbars and cruise control . Most scooters only have a tiny edge for passengers feet that is too narrow . My CFMoto Echarm has metal passenger pegs that fold in when not in use . It took me a while to get used to a scooters floor after having several motorcycles and motobecanes ( mopeds with bicycle pedals ) . I think a scooter is safer with floor so you do not have to worry about scraping in turns or having feet come off pegs like rubbery street bike pegs . My Cr125 I filed them so they were bite into my boots better when covered in mud

You are not alone in wantig to do this. I have run into the same issue. I had originally planned on getting a spare set of the retractable passenger ones but the mounts weld to the frame. I then decided to just push back farther on the seat. My scoot has swept back bars so it feels like riding an old school cruiser when riding this way. Being 6'5" it is surprisingly comfortable.

What ya need is a Yamaha Morphous! Tons of leg room. Last year after my wreck my left leg stayed in a straight brace for a long time. I'm about 5'10 and was able to ride my Morphous fine with my left foot still on the floor board. 93" long scooter says it all! course, I'm guessing buying a new scooter probably isnt a solution?

Mine has rear fold down pegs for a passenger, I'll use them sometimes myself, mostly uphill, then back to the floorboard on the downhill. It's nice to have more than one riding position on those longer rides.
