Hey Dawgs! I'm Tom O and live in the suburbs of Minneapolis. I recently sold my two Puch Mopeds in search of more comfort and speed. I ended up getting this 2006 Tank Touring DE 150cc for cheap. Put a few miles on it this weekend already and am digging it. I've also been reading up a lot on all the great info on this forum. It's led me to plan out my winter with this scooter. I'll be fixing an oil leak, modding the exhaust, making a scoop for the fan, drilling some ventilation holes on the CVT cover, Bleeding the brakes, and inspecting/fixing the wiring. Possibly upgrading the carb and intake manifold, along with a different air filter and more things. But first, to fix some annoying issues: The speedometer doesn't read right, as in, it goes all the way around the face by the time I start going above 30mph (might just need to get a new speedo, or Vapor kit), the scoot dies when I push the lighting switch all the way to the headlights position, but yet the kill switch does not kill the motor, and the front wheel bearing needs to be replaced. That's the long and short of it for now. I'm looking forward to cruising with some of you if we get a chance before the riding season is done for. TomO

I guess "Tank" is a fitting name, lol. It takes me up to 50-55mph pretty easily, and I'm no small guy! Thanks for the words of welcome!

So I finally put enough miles on it to have to put gas in it. 101.38 MPG, not bad, but a little concerned it's running lean since most places and people say they get about 70MPG with these things.
Ordered new mirrors since the last one that is on there is janky. Also ordered new front wheel bearings to replace the worn out ones that are on there now.
Then over the winter I'll fix the oil leak (coming from the top of the motor and I bet it's the starter motor O-ring) and replace the drive belt since it has over 6K miles on it now. I'll also be modifying the CVT cover for better breathing and probably an aluminum intake manifold as the OEM one is showing signs of cracking.
I've already thrown in an NGK spark plug (there was an autolite in there already so at least the cheap OEM plug was gone) and replaced the vacuum lines. Fuel lines will be getting replaced over the winter as well. I will most likely be installing an electric fuel pump since most of my ride is near or at WOT.
