I've read the good, bad & ugly of buying scooters online. I want to hear what online dealer was the best, and which one was the worst. I would like to hear why you have a positive or negative review of the company. And please provide a link to the site we should do business with as well as stay away from.

No not ALL of them drop ship. Some actually import their own scooters, offer a good warranty and stand behind the warranty. Unfortunately most of the good ones were not included in the list of choices above.

I agree w/John...I have read through the threads on this and several other forums-after reading all of the personal comments I narrowed my online purchase down to 2 online dealerships: Valley Scooters (scootersus.com) & minibikesplus.com (Dan). I contacted & received quick personal replies ffrom both of these companies. Both spent a good deal of time listening to what I was looking for, are American owned & operated, & were VERY honest with me considering my inexperience. The prices are competitive, they went out of their way to give me ideas, and I believe they have discounts for forum members...I will purchase from one of these two companies!

I agree with John also. Not all online dealers are strickly online. Sure lots do drop ship but the difference being some actually have store fronts and have actaully worked on the machines they sell. It also seems that a couple of the ones you listed have numerous complaints against them and provide less than expected customer service.
I would suggest you read a little deeper and look at BBB reports. When you narrow it down, call the ones you like and see what kind of phone presence they have. You can tell a lot about a dealer from a few minute phone conversation.
Out of curiosity, I did a BBB search on the companies you listed.
Bandit/Viper Motorsports F RidersWholesale.com AKA Mooser Auto F KillerMotorsports.com C- ScooterDepot.us aka Sunnysports F EVOsales.com BBB Accredited since 2004. No rating due to their BBB File being reviewed by the BBB. 34 complaints

I would just buy from a local dealer. might be a little more expensive but worth it

Buying from a local dealer is the best way to do things, if something goes wrong you can deal with the dealer face to face. It is very difficult to reach thru a computer screen to choke someone, LOL.
Problem is there is a lot of people that don't have a local dealer or perfer to save money by doing the assembly and PDI themselves. There is a definate place for online dealers, just make sure you do your homework before buying. Research is very important and this board as well as others, is a great place to start. When I decided to become a dealer, I spent many hours researching distributors and making phone calls before deciding. My main concern was after the sale support and how quickly I could get warranty parts when needed. I found phone calls and dealing directly with one representative worked very well for me. I was able to "weed" out "shady" distributors that way and have had excellent service from the 3 distibutors I ended up doing business with.

I have followed the message boards about Mrscooters.com The last I read were in 2008. Everyone seemed to get their scooters although it took a great while. I am moving back to Florida in a few weeks and I ordered the black 250cc touring scooter with 13 inch wheels from Mrscooters.com. I have never used a forum before, but I will post my progress here. I already expect to wait a long time so I will not freak out unless it is over a month. I hope it arrives within 3 weeks tops. We will see.
