Cost me $130.00 NZ with 4300k's on the clock and a bit of time to get it running properly.
Rewelded half the frame due to poor welds.
It would struggle to do 40 - 50km/h now does over 70km/h .
The dc side of the stator was broken so replaced that and the charging system works again.
It would start and go fine for the first few meters down the road then start slowing down. I striped the carb and found alot of crap in the bowl cleaned jets put back together pulled out fuel tank and drained (Not a pretty sight). It ran better but not like it should. I had another look at the carb and saw a piece of diaphram hanging out the top of carb pulled it apart to find 2 holes in it. A bit of silicone over them ( Temporary ) Still only a little improvement so had a look on this site.
Next was valve adjustment they were tight no wonder it would only run right for short time.
Replaced original air box for a pod type filter.
Ported and polished the head as nothing lined up nicely and cleaned up the inlet manifold for nice flow.
Have made a header for it about 7mm bigger bore than stock pipe but a bit loud for road use. (maybe just drill out the original one)
Next will be some variator weights 12 grams should do me as i only weigh 65kg - 140lbs.
I have cut the front and pulled the lower front end out by about an inch as the tyre used to hit the fairing under braking but nothing looked bent.
Cut the front gaurd down as i didn't like the low hanging one it had and cut the back one off aswell.
I painted the rims and bike. (It was blue )
I have another frame that i have started chopping up for a custom project.
Pics of that will come later
