Chopperwebb with this small amount of info it could be a lot of things. I would check first that both plug wires are firmly seated on the plug. Are both plugs the same color when you pull them and look at them? Is the miss at a given RPM or all over the place? Check the ground on your coil/CDI. Check all plug ins from the ignition side to ensure no wires are "partially" connected. Is there a miss at idle? I can't imagine that changing your oil would cause a miss. Also check the voltage coming out of your battery before you start the trike. Then check it again as the stator is supplying power when it's running. Before you start it your battery should have about 12.5 volts. After you start it the voltage should read close to 14. If you have an amp meter all the better it will show a charge rate. Either will work though.

well it mostly skips as im goin thru the gears. if i dont push it hard in 5th it smooths out but still does it but not as much. the plugs look the same and everything is connected good and a good charge from the battery..i cant test it anymore because the foot shifter on the side BROKE off:{ so tonite at work im gonna make a new bracket with a titanium sleeve and a bolt instead of a weld to make it stronger..im better at working on cars than this trike so im stumped on this miss. could it be the coils? also would to much oil mess the shifting up? it just feels different now..alot smoother than before i changed the oil?

Well most of these small trikes like very light weight oil...but that shouldn't cause a noticable difference in performance. Yes it is possible you have a "disrupting coil. Do you have one coil or two? The problem is if both your plugs look normal then what makes you think you have a misfire on one side, or did I read that incorrectly? I'm a hot rod car guy as well and just from what you say it almost sounds like timing. Has it ran like this from day one or did this just appear one day? I have a Magnum 300 and from day one I went with a high performance coil and an iridium plug. If you had a vacuem leak somewhere on the intake side this symptom would also appear (the miss). You might try a spray bottle of water and shoot a little on the intake and lines while it is idling and see if you get any engine RPM change. One last question does the trike misfire only under a load?

This is a Lifan V Twin engine with a five speed and a TCI ignition, not CDI. Could be a weak module or bad coil. If you go to Yahoo on the Lifan forum there are folks that can help. They are experts on this engine.

That's a fact....The top gear jumps and moves when under load. That is whywe lock out the reverse than it can not jump it is forced in forward...
